This week’s Soap Opera Digest will officially confirm that Steve Burton has exited General Hospital!
According to the weekly magazine, show sources have reported that the actor left GH at the end of October after declining to comply with the show’s vaccination mandate.
Burton has portrayed fan-favorite Jason Morgan on and off since 1991. He recently took home the Soap Hub award for Favorite Male Actor from General Hospital for the second year in a row.
He was last seen onscreen on November 19th when his character was buried under rubble in an unstable tunnel and presumed dead and it seems that is where he will remain for the foreseeable future!
