After a decade of marriage, daytime television favorites Cady McClain and Jon Lindstrom have officially reached a divorce settlement, bringing an amicable close to their long-time relationship.
The Wedding Bells
The two soap icons—who currently appear on Beyond the Gates as Pamela Curtis and Joey Armstrong—tied the knot on Valentine’s Day in 2014.
Their union was a big moment for daytime fans, especially those who followed their work on As the World Turns. Over the years, they built a life together while continuing to thrive in their respective careers.
The Decision to Part
As is often the case, even strong relationships can take different turns. By December 2023, the couple had decided to separate. They later confirmed the news publicly in April 2024 with a joint statement that kept things respectful and honest:
“Cady and Jon here. We are taking this opportunity to make a short statement about our relationship status. It may be obvious to some based on our posts that we’ve taken some time apart. After serious consideration, we have decided that our goals have been taking us in different directions and to end our marriage. We remain friends and wish each other every happiness. As people who work in the public eye, it can be difficult to have a private life. Regardless, we ask for your kind consideration in this matter.”
Closing the Chapter
Now, the legal side of things has been wrapped up. According to reports from TMZ, both parties waived their right to spousal support. Each will retain their own assets and personal property, making for a clean and straightforward split.
The only thing left is a judge’s final sign-off to make it official.
Both Jon and Cady played numerous roles across the soap genre. Outside of his work on BTG, Lindstrom is known for playing Kevin Collins/Ryan Chamberlin on General Hospital. He also played Craig on ATWT while McClain played Jennifer on Days of Our Lives, Rosana on ATWT, Dixie on All My Children, and Kelly on The Young and the Restless.
While their marriage has come to an end, it’s clear the two are moving forward on good terms. We wish them nothing but the best.
