The cast for Tyler Perry’s upcoming Netflix series “Beauty In Black” has been revealed.
Perry has a creative partnership with the streamer in which he is required to write, direct and produce feature films and series under a multi-year first-look deal.
“Beauty In Black,” the newest series from Perry will follow two women leading very different lives. While Kimmie is struggling to make a living after her mother kicked her out, and Mallory is running a successful business, they find themselves entangled in each other’s lives.
Tyler Perry’s Beauty In Black Cast Revealed
The upcoming Netflix serial will be a 16-episode hour-long drama directed, written and produced by Perry.
Leading the cast are; Taylor Polidore Williams as Kimmie and Crystle Stewart as Mallory.
Other cast members for “Beauty In Black” are; Debbi Morgan, Ricco Ross, Charles Malik Whitfield, Amber Reign Smith, Richard Lawson, Steven G. Norfleet, Julian Horton, Terrell Carter, Shannon Wallace, Bryan Tanaka, Joy Rovaris, Xavier Smalls, Tamera Kissen, Ursula O. Robinson, Ashley Versher and George Middlebrook.
Tony Strickland and Angi Bones will also be producing for Tyler Perry Studios.
Debbi Morgan is best known to soap opera fans for her roles as; Angie Hubbard on All My Children, Harmony Hamilton on The Young and the Restless, Dr. Mary Eleanor ‘Ellen’ Burgess on General Hospital and Port Charles, Chantal Marshall on Generations and more.
Richard Lawson played Lucas Barnes on All My Children. Meanwhile, Ricco Ross played Reggie Morris on Days of our Lives and Dr. Sterling Robinson on General Hospital.
