Deadline is reporting that Rachel Naomi Hilson (This is Us, Teen Beth Pearson) has been cast as a series regular in Disney + series Love, Simon. Hilson, in a recast, will play opposite Michael Cimino. Love, Simon is based on the critically acclaimed movie based on Becky Albertali’s New York Times bestselling novel.
With the world of film as the backdrop, Victor (Cimino) is a new student at Creekwood High School who is facing various challenges; at home, finding his footing in a new city and struggling with his own sexual orientation. During Victor’s journey of self-discovery, when it all becomes too much, he reaches out to Simon for help in facing, maneuvering and overcoming his challenges.
