CBS daytime soap opera fans were not in the least bit thrilled when they tuned in expecting to see the continuation of their favorite dramas: Beyond the Gates, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless, but instead found the programs interrupted by a presidential news conference.

Why the CBS Soaps Weren’t On Today

This is nothing new. In fact, it happens from time to time and eventually causes a shift in the regular schedule. However, in this case, since it was not a national preemption and some U.S citizens were still able to get the full episode in their time zones, those who were affected will be able to see the episode via other means.

Where You Can Catch What You Missed

The three soaps took to their official Instagram pages to update their fans. In a statement they shared, it read, “Due to today’s CBS News Special Report, you may have missed some or all of today’s original episode. Catch up on your stories at CBS.com and @paramountplus!”

Of course, you can check out the app to catch up.

On Beyond the Gates, Jacob and Naomi both remembered times past as they celebrated their anniversary, separately. Meanwhile, over on Young and the Restless, Abby turned to an old friend, and Diane refused to accept her husband’s apology.

Over in Los Angeles on Bold and the Beautiful, Sheila’s worst fears were confirmed when she confronted Taylor and demanded the truth. On top of that, Daphne Rose Walton took a paternity test. Is she pregnant?

You will have to tune in to see how these stories unfold. Don’t forget to catch up on your favorite CBS soap operas now.
