Former soap star Chris McKenna, who recently wrapped his run as Jack Brennan on General Hospital, is gearing up for emergency surgery.
Taking to social media, McKenna revealed: “I had a broken crown fixed last month and they discovered a spot on my x-ray. Turns out I need emergency surgery in the morning to remove a cyst that has eaten away my jawbone and have a bone graft. Good thing I broke that tooth! This is gonna hurt but lucky we caught it.”

He later added with a bit of humor: “The good news is I’m gonna be on pain meds for weeks and my tweets might be hilarious.”
Naturally, the post was flooded with well wishes from followers hoping for a speedy recovery. This medical update comes just weeks after his departure from the ABC daytime drama, where his character, Agent Brennan, was killed off in a shocking twist before Ava and Drew buried his body.
In addition to GH, McKenna is well known to daytime fans for his roles on One Life to Live, The Bold and the Beautiful, and The Young and the Restless.
We wish Chris all the best with his surgery and a smooth, speedy recovery! Send your well wishes in the comments!
