About Chris Robinson, The Actor
Born on November 5, 1938, in West Palm Beach, Florida, Robinson began his career in the 1950s as a young actor and stuntman, appearing in numerous films before finding his niche in daytime television.
He gained widespread recognition playing the role of Dr. Rick Webber (he was the seon actor in the role) on General Hospital from 1978 to 1986, where his character was central to a dramatic love triangle involving his wife, Lesley Webber (the late Denise Alexander), and the already-married Monica Quartermaine (the late Leslie Charleson).
Robinson later joined Another World in 1987 as Jason Frame, reuniting with actress Denise Alexander (Lesley from GH). His character’s arc came to a shocking end when Jason was killed off in early 1989.
In the early 1990s, Robinson transitioned to The Bold and the Beautiful, portraying Jack Hamilton. He remained with the series for three years and returned occasionally, with his last appearance airing in 2005.
In 2002, after a 16-year hiatus, Robinson returned to General Hospital, only to see his character written off in a dramatic exit.
Chris Robinson’s long career spanned decades and he will be remembered for his enduring contributions to daytime television.
