If you’ve been keeping up with Beyond the Gates this week, you know the drama is always at a high, but it was nice to see things take a celebratory turn for one of our favorite fashionistas, Kat Richardson. Hence, the reason Colby Nixon’s outfit was chosen as Soap Opera News’ look of the week for April 13-17.
Kat celebrated her birthday in style, and let’s just say her boyfriend Tomas definitely knows the way to a woman’s heart (sometimes). He surprised her with a little party at Uptown. Tomas pulled out all the stops to make sure he put a smile on her face. Showing up for the big moment were her family, siblings, cousins, mom, dad, aunt, etc., and even her half-sister.
But we have to talk about the real star of the night—Kat’s birthday look. Colby Nixon looked absolutely effortless in a grey tweed sleeveless blazer and matching skirt set. By layering it over a sheer black turtleneck, she gave us the perfect mix of “boss” and “birthday girl.” It was the ultimate look for a night out at one of the hottest spots in town.
Between the heartfelt toasts and the memories, the night was a rare moment of pure joy for Kat. Making her smile was the biggest news of all: her grandmother’s latest medical news. Of course, this being Beyond the Gates, we’re all left wondering: how long can this sweet phase last before the next twist hits?
