Once upon a time, there was a rumor that Ryan Paevey was returning to General Hospital. That rumor has turned out to be true. Confirming the news, Deadline reported that Paevey, whom GH fans best know for his run as Nathan West, is back at the ABC daytime sudser. However, what role he will be playing is still unknown
Viewers would remember that the character of Nathan was killed off in 2019 after Peavey had originated the part in 2013. The actor has since moved on to doing numerous Hallmark movies and Lifetime projects. According to the report from Deadline, Peavey said that his return to the show started with a surprise text from Executive Producer Frank Valentini. He will first air in September.
Ryan Paevey’s Reaction to Returning
“We talked a bit and he asked if I would consider returning for a while,” Paevey said, adding, “I still have my last call sheet from my final tapong day on January 18, 2018, tacked up in my home office.“
Now a for how his return will tie into the story? Fans have already been speculating that the show could be resurrecting Nathan. Just like they did with Kelly Thiebaud’s Britt Westbourne, who returned to the show in July. Right now, Britt is on some secret mission over in Dalmatia Croatia, and just reunited with her ex-Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). That story continues on today’s General Hospital.
With the news of Paevey’s return now confirmed, the biggest question on everyone’s mind is whether Nathan West will be resurrected or if the popular actor is coming back to play a brand-new character.
