The wait is almost over for Conner Floyd to officially make his onscreen debut as the new Chad DiMera on Days of Our Lives.
When Billy Flynn made his exit as Chad in February, the character left town, explaining that he would only be gone a few weeks while taking the kids with him. However, it turns out those “few weeks” have stretched into a couple of months because Chad DiMera will not be back onscreen until April 21, when Floyd makes his debut on the Peacock soap opera.
Conner Floyd Announces His Days Debut
In a new post on the show’s official Instagram page, the caption teased, “The wait is almost over! Conner Floyd will officially be on your screens April 21 as Chad DiMera! Please help us give a warm welcome to him in the comments below.”
In the video, Floyd shared, “What is going on, Salem? My name is Conner Floyd, and I’m very, very happy to announce that starting in April, I will be airing as the one and only Chad DiMera, and man, I’ve been waiting to say that for a long time.”
He continued, “I’m very thankful to be a part of the Days family. Thank you for this opportunity. I’m very excited for you guys to see what storylines we’ve been working on.”
Floyd also teased what fans can expect. “Man, we’ve got some cool stuff coming. Get your popcorn ready. Very honored to be a part of the DiMera legacy as well. I understand there’s a weight to that.”
From Genoa City to Salem
Floyd added that he is ready to take on the responsibility of playing such an iconic character.
“I’m ready to carry the name, and I know I got big shoes to fill. I’m up for the challenge. I’ve been bringing it. I will continue to bring it for you guys. Thank you for all the love and support that I’ve gotten so far. You guys have been very welcoming and kind, and I truly appreciate that. See you in the Brady’s Pub.”
Floyd is no stranger to soaps. In fact, just before taking the role of Chad on Days, he was playing Chance Chancellor on The Young and the Restless. His run on the CBS soap began in 2021 and ended in 2025 when the character was killed off.
