TV Line is reporting that there will be another Cristal Jennings for season 3 of The CW’s hit show, Dynasty, this fall. Yep, another Cristal.  Daniella Alonso joins the cast and will assume the role of Cristal. She is replacing Ana Brenda Contreras who was the original actress cast in season 2 in the role. It is cited that Ana Brenda Contreras is leaving due to personal reasons. 

Some of Daniella Alonso’s television credits include; One Tree Hill, Being Mary Jane, Friday Night Lights, and Animal Kingdom.

Daniella will be Cristal 2.0 but you could technically call her the 3.0 version. Cristal Flores, who was ultimately deemed to be a fake Cristal, was played in season one by Nathalie Kelley and killed off.


We are crossing our fingers hoping that the next casting news for Dynasty will answer the burning question of who will be cast as Alexis Carrington. Nicollette Sheridan who originated the reboot role left in the middle of season 2. The role was temporarily portrayed by  Elizabeth Gillies (who also plays Fallon Carrington). But a permanent recast is expected at some point in the future. Dynasty keeps us all on our casting tiptoes.


Season 3 premiere’s on Friday, October 11 at 9/8c. We are hoping we don’t have to wait too long to answer two other burning questions about those two dead bodies that were found in the water in the season 2 finale. We think one of them is Fallon’s high school friend who died there many years ago. But this is Dynasty known for its twists and turns so we assume nothing. But we can’t wait to find out everything!
