Daniel Godard is returning to daytime television—per TV Insider, Goddard has joined the cast of General Hospital as Henry Dalton, a new character, a professor who works at Port Charles University set to make his Port Charles debut on April 15.

“First and foremost, it’s an absolute pleasure to be back in daytime,” Godard tells the outlet. Goddard is best known for playing Cane Ashby on The Young and the Restless from 2007 to 2009.

He explains that in December 2024, he got a call from his former manager, Michael Bruno, who wanted to submit him for a role on the ABC daytime drama. The role, however, was the recast of Jack Brennan, now being played by Chris McKenna (at the time, the role was played by Charles Mesure).

In regards to his GH experience so far, Goddard noted, “It has been an extraordinary, wonderful experience so far.” General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC; be sure to check out Daniel Goddard’s GH debut next week. (Photo: ABC/Christine Bartolucci)
