The Young and the Restless alum Daniel Goddard recently revealed to Soaps.com that he was close to playing EJ DiMera on Days of Our Lives.
In the interview, he revealed that he “met and talked with the [executive producer] at Days.” Then when they were casting for EJ, he was asked to screen-test for the role. “It was in the works,” Goddard recalled. “And then there was the situation where Days may not have been picked up, so what happened is it only would have been a four-week commitment.” At the same time, Goffard and his friend and former co-star Bryton James (Devon, YR) were in the middle of launching their DYSKO app. So, the actor admitted, “It was too much of a pivot to do something that may pull me away from where I was at this time without any payout of a long-term thing.”
