Kyle Lowder is once again making a major transition in his career.
The actor, best known to soap fans for playing Rex Brady and Brady Black on Days of Our Lives, shifted career paths back in July 2023 when he joined KTVN Channel 2 News in Reno, Nevada. The CBS affiliate welcomed Lowder as a morning anchor and reporter.
Lowder co-anchored weekday mornings alongside the 2 News team, which included Kristen Remington and Arianna Bennett. Now, that chapter has come to an end.
Kyle Lowder Says Farewell to Reno
Lowder recently revealed that he has wrapped up his time at the station.
In a new Instagram reel simply captioned “Thank you. And farewell,” he shared an emotional message with viewers and followers.
“Good morning, everybody. Well, three years have flown by,” Lowder said in the video.
He continued by explaining that the morning broadcast marked his final appearance on the station.
“Today’s the day. If you did not see the show this morning, which I’m sure many of you did not, this morning was my final broadcast here at 2 News Nevada.”
Lowder also shared that he is heading to New York City for his next opportunity.
“I am on my way to New York City and a national news network there. More on that in a future post. But right here, right now, I want to thank each and every one of you for making my time here in Reno, Lake Tahoe, Northern Nevada, and the surrounding areas a special time, a memorable time.”
He also expressed deep gratitude to viewers who welcomed him into their homes every morning.
“I’m so eternally grateful. You welcomed me into your homes every single morning. You started your day with us here at 2 News Nevada, and I never took it for granted. I still don’t, and I never will. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you and farewell.”
