The role of Rachel Black has been recast on Days of Our Lives. Actress Lorelei Olivia Mote will take over the role beginning next week on the Peacock soap opera.
Rachel was most recently played by Alice Halsey, who made her final appearance on Thursday, March 5.

Lorelei Olivia Mote already has a growing list of acting credits. Her television work includes appearances in popular series like American Horror Stories, Daisy Jones & the Six, and Unprisoned.
She has also appeared in films such as Riddle of Fire, The Best Christmas Pageant Ever, and Seven Days.
Outside of acting, Mote has a wide range of skills. She can speak, read, and write German at an A2 proficiency level. She is also trained in Level 5–6 / XCEL Gold gymnastics and enjoys activities like soccer, dance, aerial work, swimming, and riding a bicycle. Mote is also known to be great with animals.
Her first name, Lorelei, was inspired by the leading character from Gilmore Girls. In addition to television and film, she has appeared in several commercials and has also done some theater work.
Acting Alongside Her Real-Life Mom
Mote also starred in a movie alongside her real-life mother, Danielle Hoetmer.
Hoetmer, an SU Class of 2000 alumna, plays Mrs. Wendelken in The Best Christmas Pageant Ever. The film follows a small town preparing for its annual church Christmas pageant.
The story focuses on the Herdman children, who are known around town as delinquents and misfits. When they unexpectedly become involved in the church production, longtime church members are less than thrilled.
In the film, Hoetmer’s daughter Lorelei Olivia Mote plays Alice Wendelkin, the daughter of Mrs. Wendelken.
The History of Rachel Black on Days of Our Lives
Mote will now take on the recurring role of Rachel Black, the daughter of Brady and Kristen.
