January 25th holds a very special memory for ‘Days of Our Lives’ actress Lauren Koslow who first stepped on the scenes as Kate Roberts on this day. Although her soap journey original began on ‘The Young and the Restless’ in 1984 as she played Lindsey Wells and continued with her playing the role of Margo MacClaine Lynley on ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ from 1987 – 1992, it was her role as Kate Roberts that truly made her a household name.
Koslow took over the role from Deborah Adair who left the show in 1995 Koslow debuted in 1996. Kate is known for her constant rivalry with several characters, her romantic pairing with men such as; Curtis Reed (Nick Benedict), Roman Brady (Josh Taylor), Stefano DiMera (Joseph Mascolo), Andre DiMera (Thaao Penghlis), Victor Kiriakis (John Aniston), Eduardo Hernandez (A. Martinez) and Rafe Hernandez (Galen Gering). Kate has worked as a prostitute, B&B landlady, a businesswoman and head of DiMera enterprise during her time in Salem.
Koslow throughout her run on the NBC daytime has put in exceptional work. Her talents had been a great addition to the show for the past 25 years and we hope there will be many, many, many more to come. Happy 25th anniversary Lauren – check out some throwback moments below!
