Former Days of Our Lives favorites Kyler Pettis and Nadia Bjorlin are set to reunite in a whole new way. The two will star as leads and love interests in the upcoming indie feature Veronica & Julian.
They will be joined by Blake Jenner, Chrystee Pharris (whom soap fans will recognize as Simone Russell from Passions), along with Robert Lee Leng, Mark Famiglietti, and Jennafer Newberry.
About Veronica & Julian: A May–December Romance in NYC
Written and directed by Otoja Abit, the film centers on Veronica, a confident marketing executive played by Bjorlin, whose carefully curated life takes an unexpected turn.
Enter Julian, a younger, aspiring architect portrayed by Pettis. Their May-December romance unfolds into something deeper and becomes a quiet exploration of desire, timing, and self-discovery. The story is set in present-day New York City and leans more intimate than flashy.
Why Soap Fans Will Love This Indie Film
For longtime Days of Our Lives fans, this casting feels especially fitting. Bjorlin’s portrayal of Chloe Lane made her a staple of the show for years, and there’s no doubt that fans miss her.
Pettis, who played Theo Carver, also left a lasting impression. His outstanding work on the show didn’t go unnoticed. In fact, he walked away with the Daytime Emmy award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series in 2019.
Since his time on Days, Pettis has continued to build his resume with roles on The Rookie, All American: Homecoming, and Ray Donovan. Pairing that steady rise with Bjorlin’s talent gives Veronica & Julian a little extra buzz.
So, are you ready to see these two former soap standouts turn up the heat and trade Salem for the streets of New York City?
When to Watch
Release details are still pending, but this indie film reunion is already creating chatter. Soap fans and newcomers alike should keep an eye out; it’s a story you won’t want to miss.
