Days of our Lives Recap April 1, 2024: Today on Days of our Lives – Holly stuns everyone by admitting the truth about her drug overdose. Eric offers his support to Nicole, which is witnessed by EJ. Tate and Theresa have an honest discussion about the pitfalls of relationships. Abe and Paulina learn whether she is cancer-free or not. Xander, determined to prove his innocence, scans over the evidence against him.
Days of our Lives Recap Today, April 1, 2024
Holly makes her confession at the mansion that the drugs were actually hers. Things start to get intense, and Brady lays into her for keeping quiet while his son suffered for something he didn’t do. When Nicole questions why she went to Eric instead of her, Holly explains that she knew Eric wouldn’t judge her, while her mom would blame herself.
EJ suggests Tate as the dealer, and Brady angrily asks him what his deal is with his son. Holly insists that Tate had nothing to do with the drugs and actually warned her not to take them.
Nicole tells Holly she should have come to her, and Holly apologizes, wishing she had told the truth from the start. She mentions she has proof in her room. Nicole pleads with her to show her, and they head upstairs together.
The Drugs Were Mine
Holly and her mom go upstairs. She feels bad and her mom wishes she had been honest with her. Holly explains that she was worried about her falling apart. Nicole appreciates the concern but tells her that she is strong enough. Holly shows her the drugs, and Nicole tells her they need to go back downstairs and show everyone.
As they get back downstairs, Nicole wonders if the coma affected Holly’s memory and she didn’t remember everything. Holly explains that it wasn’t the coma; at first things were fuzzy, but she remembered things like a day after.
Meanwhile, Brady tells EJ that he wants all the charges dropped and his son out of the halfway house. EJ explains that it will take time, but Brady insists that time is something he doesn’t have. If it doesn’t happen soon, he will file a civil suit and demands a very public apology for his son as he storms out.
EJ is frustrated and storms off. Holly cries and walks out, insisting that nothing will ever be fine again. Nicole tries to stop her, but Eric tells her to let her go as Nicole gets into his arms.

Nicole asks how long he’s known, and he reveals that Holly told him today at the christening and thought she should be the one to reveal the truth. Nicole admits she doesn’t feel like a good mother. EJ returns and tells them that things are taken care of. Nicole thanks Eric for being there for Holly as he leaves.
On his way out, Eric runs into Holly, who’s all teary-eyed. He tells her she did a brave thing, and she blurts out that she loves him. Eric confesses his love for her too. Holly wishes Eric and her mom was still together, but he reassures her that they’re both happily married and that he’ll always be there for her.

Xander gets home and reveals to Sarah that Justin handed him some evidence to check out. She feels bad she can’t stick around to help, but he knows she’s there with him in spirit.
Xander starts digging into the evidence, and Sarah mentions she’s working a late shift and won’t be back till morning. He jokes that he might still be stuck in the same spot when she gets back, but Sarah reassures him, telling him she’s got a good feeling about things.
She heads out, and then Victoria starts getting fussy. Xander calms her down, promising he won’t let anyone pin something on him that he didn’t do.
Later on, while going through the witness testimonies, Sarah calls Xander. He vents about how frustrating it’s been, searching for hours and finding nothing. She promises to help as soon as she gets back and suggests he takes Victoria for a walk to clear his head.
He loves the idea and mentions he’ll use her new stroller. Then, he remembers a detail Rafe mentioned about one of the witnesses describing his distinctive jogging clothes. Excitedly, he goes back over the evidence, and as he discovers something, he assures his daughter that he’ll be a free man.
Paulina Is Cancer Free
Abe and Paulina are at home, getting ready to go find out if Paulina’s cancer is finally gone. She’s feeling nervous about how she looks, but Abe reassures her that she looks absolutely amazing. Abe gets real and asks if it’s all about her appearance, and Paulina opens up, admitting that she’s secretly hoping for another miracle.
When they reach the hospital, Sarah lets them know that the oncologist got called away and asked her to go over the results with them. After a tense moment, Sarah shares the incredible news that the cancer is in complete remission. Paulina and Abe are beyond thrilled. As they head home, Paulina turns to Abe and shares that her two favorite words are now “cancer” and “free.”

Tate and Theresa are going at it about him letting Holly reach out to him, even though there’s a restraining order against him. Tate insists that Holly’s not a bad girl while Theresa’s throwing shade like, “Tell that to your ankle monitor.”
She reminds him that he’s in the halfway house because of this girl. Theresa ain’t buying Holly’s halo, she straight-up says she’s a selfish little girl that she loathes with every fiber of her being. Tate’s practically begging her to chill. Then, Theresa drops some relationship wisdom on him, saying they’re complicated, and she knows from experience. She’s trying to get it through his head that Holly spells trouble.
Just then, Brady comes in on the phone with Justin, talking about EJ making the calls. Afterwards, he tells Tate to pack his bags because he’s going home.
Tate and his mom are in shock when Brady reveals he doesn’t have to wear the ankle monitor anymore and the restraining order is getting axed. Brady explains that Holly finally told the truth that the drugs were hers.
Theresa’s over the moon and suggests they go celebrate. Tate wants to call Holly, but they advise him to hold up.
