Days Of Our Lives Recap: EJ Unleashes His Anger

Days Recap Today

Melinda and Paulina run into each other in the Square and snark at each other. After Paulina makes a comment about Melinda being unemployed. Melinda gleefully tells her that she started a new career as an adoption attorney. She tells Paulina that she just found a baby for Sloan and Eric to adopt. Paulina is happy for Eric but feels bad for the baby having Sloan as a mother.

Abe is surprised when Kate knocks on the door of Steve and Kayla’s apartment. He tells her that they aren’t home and she tells him that she’s there to see him. He lets her in and they share some cookies from Sweet Bits as she tells him about their friendship. They talk about Paulina and Abe tells her how bad he feels that he’s not able to remember their relationship. He confides in Kate that he knows why he fell in love with Paulina but still wishes he could remember how it happened. 

Kate advises him to stop trying to remember so hard and Abe tells her that Steve and Kayla give him the same advice. Paulina arrives just as Kate is about to leave and Abe lets her in. Paulina tells him that she was out Christmas shopping and saw something that reminded her of him and just wanted to see him. She shows him the bracelet that he got her for Christmas last year and he apologizes for not remembering. Paulina invites him over to spend Christmas with her and Chanel and suggests that they can make new memories. Abe happily accepts her invitation.

Nicole isn’t happy to see Leo and wants to know why he’s there and Leo tells her he wants to talk to her about her baby. Nicole flips out and EJ comes to see what’s going on. Leo tries to say that he has something to tell them but they both angrily insist he leave. EJ pushes him out the door and slams it in his face. 

EJ tries to comfort Nicole, but she tells him she just wants to take a walk by herself. EJ lets her go and is very angry when he sees Leo coming through the secret entrance. 

He tells him that he’s calling the cops and Leo tries to stop him by saying that his baby is alive. EJ punches him and says that he doesn’t want to hear his lies before kicking him out again.

Eric questions Sloan about why the adoption attorney would be apologizing for the adoption falling through when they have their son. Sloan tells him she hasn’t been completely honest with him about the adoption. She explains that the first baby fell through because the mother found out about her history and changed her mind. She says Melinda was able to find another baby, but she didn’t want to say anything to him until she was positive that it would all work out and she admits that she felt very guilty that she was why the first adoption fell through. 

Eric is very understanding and thanks for telling him the truth. He assures her that the first mother was wrong about her and says that he and Jude are lucky to have her. A little while later, Melinda shows up and asks Sloan why she wanted to see her. Sloan tells her that she convinced Eric to take the baby for a walk so that they could talk in private. She tells her about the call from the adoption attorney, and about Dimitri, knowing the truth and blackmailing her.  

She thinks he’ll stay quiet since she did what he wanted but she’s still concerned. Melinda comes up with the idea to use a contact she has in the DOJ to get Dimitri transferred to a Supermax prison where he will be in solitary confinement and not allowed visitors. Sloan starts to feel better but then later after Melinda leaves, Leo arrives and tells her that she needs to let him in.

Dimitri is in the visiting room at Statesville when Lucas comes in, and angrily confronts him about kidnapping his mother, Kate. Dimitri laughs it off and tells him that Kate was fine and that she was rescued and never injured. 

Lucas tells Dimitri he wishes he had been there to see him arrested and Dimitri gleefully tells him that he wasn’t caught, he turned himself in. Lucas wonders why Dimitri would’ve done that and Dimitri tells him he did it for love. Lucas can’t believe that Dimitri made that sacrifice for someone like Leo Stark and Dimitri tells him that he doesn’t know the real Leo. 

Lucas blasts Dimitri for being the cause of Nicole‘s babies dying, and Dimitri angrily shoves him against the wall and tells him that he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Kate comes in before it can go any further and Dimitri leaves them alone to talk. Kate tells Lucas, she doesn’t want him to get himself into trouble and he tells her that she doesn’t have to worry about it because he’s become good friends with the warden. He tells Kate that he’s arranging for Dimitri to have a job in the kitchen so that he’ll be the one chopping up fish.
