Days Recap: Sloan Vows to Make Nicole’s Life A Living Hell

Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Monday, December 18, 2023: 

Spoilers Recap for Days of Our Lives on Monday, December 18, 2023: Sloan is about to confess to stealing Nicole’s baby when Harris announces they have a lead on the kidnapper. Nicole explains to EJ that Sloan left the baby, and she took him. EJ wants to take the baby back… Meanwhile, Paulina is increasingly exhausted but covers with Chanel. Chad and Stephanie officially break up. Stephanie meets up with Harris and confesses that she had no memory of the night before – just waking up in his bed.

Days Recap Today

EJ discovers Nicole with the baby and she apologizes. EJ reminds her that she had accepted the fact that the baby wasn’t theirs. However, Nicole explains that she found the baby alone in the square after Sloan left him there. She claims that she saved the baby from a worse fate. EJ realizes that they need to return the baby to his rightful parents. But Nicole doesn’t want to give him back and suggests EJ could use his money and power to hide them. 

EJ reminds her that losing a child is one of the most painful experiences and they can’t keep the baby away from his parents. They decide to do the right thing and return the baby to his parents together. 

Days Recap Today

During a conversation between Sloan and Eric, Harris interrupts and reveals that he has received a tip on who might have taken the baby. Sloan tells Eric that she has something important to tell him, but they are both interrupted. 

Harris explains that the tip came from a woman who saw someone in a dark hoodie pushing the stroller away. Rafe joins the conversation and wonders how it is possible for Nicole and the baby to go missing at the same time without it being connected. Eric mentions that he heard when Sarah’s baby was kidnapped, the kidnapper was wearing a black hoodie, and they couldn’t tell if it was a man or woman. He wonders if it is a possibility that it’s the same person who kidnapped his son. EJ and Nicole arrive with the baby and suggest explaining everything privately. Eric and Sloan leave to inform Marlena and Roman that the baby has been returned, while Harris receives a voicemail from Stephanie. 

In the interrogation room, Rafe asks Nicole what happened. She confesses, “I took him. I saw that he was alone, and I took him.” Nicole explains that she doesn’t believe Sloan deserves to be a mother. She saw Sloan leave the baby unattended in the middle of the square and taking him home felt like the right thing to do. 

Sloan and Eric enter, and Nicole admits that she didn’t find the baby, but she took him. Sloan becomes angry, and Nicole apologizes. Sloan wants Nicole in prison and threatens to call the state attorney general if EJ, as the DA, won’t allow it. However, Eric suggests they go home. He tells Sloan that they need to show compassion for Nicole and be grateful their son was brought back safely. Eric thinks Nicole will get help and heal. Meanwhile, Rafe informs Nicole that he has to arrest her. Before he can read her rights, Sloan walks in and says it won’t be necessary. “I asked her to babysit,” Sloan says. Rafe understands what they are trying to do but still believes Nicole needs help. Nicole agrees to get help. EJ leaves to speak with Rafe, and Sloan threatens Nicole, warning her to never come near her child again.

Days Recap Today

Chad pays Stephanie a visit to apologize for accusing her and Alex of getting together. Stephanie accepts his apology, but Chad thinks it is time for them to officially end their relationship. Although he doesn’t really want to end things, he admits that he messed up, and Stephanie wants more commitment than he is ready to give. Stephanie agrees that if that is how he sees things, then the best thing for them to do is go their separate ways. Chad notes that this is hardest for the kids because they love her so much, and Stephanie agrees and says she loves them too.

Chad thinks that Stephanie will trust him again in time, but for now, it’s best they just let each other go. Chad offers to move back to the mansion and let Stephanie have the apartment, but Stephanie says that’s too much change for Thomas and Charlotte, who have already been through enough. Chad agrees.

Chad then tells Stephanie that he will email her his official resignation from SJPR, but Stephanie notes that it’s not necessary since they are adults and should still be able to work together. Chad thinks it will be too difficult, at least for now. He also reveals that he rehired Everett.

Stephanie gets a call from Harris and they agree to meet in the park and talk. Chad thanks her for everything and hopes she will still spend time with the kids. She promises that she will and thanks him for sharing those great kids with her. 

Harris and Stephanie meet at the park. Stephanie admits that she’s worried because she can’t remember how she ended up in his bed or much of what happened after they left the pub. 

Harris reminds her that she was extremely drunk. Stephanie recalls one thing though – that they kissed. Harris confirms it, but says that it shouldn’t have happened. He then tells her everything that occurred, and Stephanie is relieved to hear that it didn’t go any further than the kiss. She asks him to keep it a secret, but he refuses, saying that he wants to be honest with his girlfriend, Ava. 

Stephanie requests that he at least not mention her name since Ava, the mafia princess, tried to kill her mother, and Stephanie doesn’t want to risk Ava finding out and reacting poorly. Harris believes that Ava will understand once he explains the situation to her. Stephanie respects Harris’s decision to be honest with Ava.

Chanel arrives home and complains to Paulina about the holiday rush, saying that it makes her want to retire early. She notices that Paulina is still in her robe in the middle of the afternoon and asks why. Paulina explains that she had difficulty waking up. 

Although Chanel is concerned about her, Paulina assures her that she is fine and that a hot cup of coffee will help. Chanel tells Paulina that she needs to go back to Sweet Bits and do some shopping. She invites Paulina to come along, but Paulina declines, saying that she has a lot of work to do and needs to head to city hall. Chanel asks if there is anything she can get for Paulina while she is out, and Paulina requests that she pick up some Christmas lights. Chanel hurries out, and Paulina sips her coffee, though she finds it difficult to swallow. Despite this, she insists that she is too busy to get sick. 

Days of Our Lives spoilers December 19, 2023

Chad visits Paulina, who asks about his talk with Stephanie. Chad reveals that he and Stephanie have officially ended their relationship. Paulina sympathizes with him and expresses her disappointment, as she was hoping they would reconcile. She notes that they will still see each other at work, so maybe they will have another chance in the future. 

However, Chad tells her that he resigned from his position at SJPR, so they won’t be seeing each other at work anymore. Paulina is saddened by this news and says that she will miss working with him. As a parting gift, she gives him something for the kids. Chad thinks that maybe he is meant to be alone if he couldn’t make things work with Stephanie. 

Later, Chanel returns home and finds her mom passed out on the couch. She says to herself, “And you said there’s nothing to worry about.”

Alex finishes a call with Theresa in the square and then catches up with Chanel. Alex notes that things are a bit complicated, and Chanel invites him to sit and talk for a while. Alex talks about finding out that he’s Victor’s son. He says that as far as he is concerned, Justin will always be his dad. Chanel then tells Alex that she and Johnny are back together. In confidence, Chanel admits that Johnny always has some girl after him. Chanel also mentions that she still thinks about the interesting time she, Alex, and Allie had. Alex apologizes for what happened after that with him and Allie. Chanel notes that sometimes things just aren’t meant to be. Later, Alex runs into Stephanie. He feels like he is running into everyone he knows today just as Chad also comes along.
