Days of Our Lives Recap for Wednesday, December 27, 2023:
What happened today on Days of Our Lives: Ava and Stefan are forced to hide the truth from Harris. Tripp attempts to cheer up Wendy as she is still torn about leaving Salem. Melinda and Wendy connect over their similar upbringings. Rafe is distressed over Gabi’s imprisonment, and Jada tries to lift his spirits. Holly apologizes to Tate for her unacceptable behavior.
Days Recap Today December 27, 2023
Stefan and Ava are caught by Harris after a shipment. They pretend they don’t have reservations for another hour. Harris tells them he is investigating some suspicious activities and Stefan decides to move the flour inside. Harris confronts Ava and tells her he doesn’t like being lied to. He asks her to talk to him but she refuses, saying she has nothing to say. Harris accuses her of lying about the reason for their breakup and thinks she’s in a relationship with Stefan. Ava denies being in love with Stefan, but admits they are seeing each other. She tells Harris that Stefan reminds her of her fiancé Jake, who is his twin brother. Ava gets a reminder that she has dinner with Tripp and apologizes to Harris for deceiving him. She thinks he’s a great guy and promises to remember every moment they shared together. Later, Harris confronts Stefan and warns him not to mess with Ava. He reminds him that he has a wife in prison and promises to keep an eye on him.

Holly pays a visit to an upset Tate to apologize for using him to get closer to Johnny. She admits to treating him poorly and regrets not listening to him earlier. Holly tells Tate that she got drunk on her birthday and called Johnny while he was with Chanel. She now realizes that she and Johnny are not meant to be together.
Tate reveals that he threw away a gift he got for her, but retrieves it from the trash at her request. Holly is delighted with the gift, and asks Tate out on a date. He jokes about needing time to think, but eventually agrees to attend a party at the Bistro on New Year’s Eve.
Rafe and Jada wake up together and decide to focus on each other for the day, without looking at their phones. Jada compliments Rafe’s apartment, saying that it feels like home. Rafe offers to make some Tamales, which Gabi used to make all the time until she went to prison. He promises to bring some to her and continue his search for Li’s killer. Jada reminds Rafe that it’s Christmas and he should be in a good place when he sees Gabi, not angry. She suggests they play a fun trivia Christmas game.
After the game, Rafe makes the Tamales, which Jada says are perfect. He hopes Gabi will be there next Christmas to make them as she usually does.

Tripp and Wendy are sitting in the park. Tripp asks Wendy if she is okay with meeting his mom for dinner. Wendy agrees, but she’s dreading having to call her own mom. Her mother wants her to move to China to be close to them, especially after the death of her brother. Wendy wishes it could be simpler, but she’s torn between the life she’s made for herself in Salem and leaving Tripp behind. Tripp is understanding and assures Wendy that he’ll respect whatever decision she makes. He then goes to get Wendy some hot coffee.
While Tripp is gone, Melinda comes along and wishes Wendy a merry Christmas. Melinda apologizes for what happened between her and Li, and admits that he made terrible mistakes in the name of love. Melinda wishes that she had been more loving and less ambitious, and more open to being loved. Wendy agrees with her and reveals that she’s currently struggling to make a tough decision between love and her parents’ demands.

Ava meets Wendy and Tripp and apologizes for being late. She feels bad that she wasn’t able to do her usual big Christmas dinner. Tripp then tells Ava that they have some big news, and Ava immediately assumes they’re getting married. However, they reveal that Wendy is moving to China, and Tripp is going with her.
