Days of Our Lives Recap for Thursday, December 28, 2023:
What happened today on Days of Our Lives: While strolling through the park, Konstantin is abducted! Nicole has her first therapy session with Marlena. With Chanel’s support, Paulina meets with Kayla to discuss her medical condition. Eric and Sloan enjoy a family day with baby Jude when Leo interrupts them.
Days Recap Today December 28, 2023
Nicole attends her first therapy session with Marlena, feeling anxious and later hesitant as Marlena is Eric’s mother. Marlena reiterates doctor-patient confidentiality and asks Nicole about her feelings regarding her recent loss. Nicole says the most challenging thing about losing the baby is the urge that she feels. She admits there is an urge to nurse her baby and wonders if that urge to love him will ever go away. Nicole admits that after she found out she was pregnant, she even considered having an abortion. She adds that when she learned that there was a possibility that Eric was the father, she was not about to deprive him of that opportunity, knowing everything he had been through.
Nicole goes further to share that she loves EJ, but she still loves Eric, and in her heart, she wanted the baby to be Eric’s. Nicole reveals that she was hoping for a sign, and they would have gotten back together if the baby had been Eric’s. She shares that she and EJ have grown closer since losing the baby. He’s been so caring and kind even when she stole the baby in the park. Nicole now wants to focus on Holly and give her some stability. After, Malena hopes the session was helpful to Nicole. Nicole tells her that it was, and she would like to continue seeing her. Nicole is also optimistic about her recovery and the new year.
Chanel and Paulina have a meeting with Kayla. During the meeting, Paulina expresses her need to get back to her normal life and requests answers about her condition. Kayla understands and states that before she can prescribe any medication, she needs an accurate diagnosis. In today’s test, Kayla is hoping that the doctor will get some clear answers, but the test results so far indicate that Paulina’s body is not allowing her thyroid gland to work as efficiently as it should. Kayla mentions that a lot of women over the age of 50 have this common medical condition.
Paulina questions the need for her to undergo a biopsy if this is the case. Kayla explains that even though the condition is common, thyroid cancer can still exist, and she wants to make sure it’s ruled out. Paulina is hesitant about doing the test, but Chanel insists that they should do it to have a clear understanding of her medical condition. Paulina agrees, and Kayla schedules the biopsy. While waiting, Johnny brings them some homemade baked goods and learns that Paulina is going through a biopsy. Chanel asks Johnny to share his own experience as a cancer survivor. Johnny talks about his experience as a child and having a prosthetic eye. He explains that it was a difficult period, especially for his parents since he was too young to comprehend the situation. Paulina is confident that she does not have cancer and assures them that she will be around for a long time. Later, Johnny informs Chanel that the Bistro is planning to host an amazing party. Chanel suggests that they should stay in and thanks Johnny for being there for her. He reminds her that her mother is a strong fighter. When they meet back up with Kayla, she discloses that the pathology report is showing similarities to cancer cells.
Days Recap Today
Eric, Sloan and Jude are spending time together in the park when they encounter Leo. Leo talks at length about his plans to move to a new place. Eric tells him they are having family time and want to be left alone. However, Leo points out that Sloan is his lawyer, so he has a right to speak with her.
Eric gives them some privacy, and Sloan confronts Leo about his excessive spending habits. Leo reminds her that he controls her spending until she gives back the baby to the real parents. Sloan argues that she and Eric are the baby’s real parents, but Leo dismisses her claims and suggests she adapts to his spending limits. He also reveals that he is planning to return to The Spectator for a steady income. He then leaves to go to a blowout sale at Saxton. When Eric returns, he informs Sloan that her credit card was declined, to which she admits she may have missed a payment. Leo passes by with his purchases, and Eric tells Sloan that they have a child now, and he might need to make a career change.
Johnny walks past Leo, who asks him if he has any interesting stories to share. Johnny replies with a no, after which Leo invites him to share a meal with him. Leo then suggests that Johnny might be bisexual, given that his sister is also bisexual. Johnny denies this, stating that even if he were, Leo would be the last person he would turn to.
While in the park, Konstantin is suddenly abducted. He is taken to an unknown location, where he comes face to face with his abductors, Steve and John.
Steve reminds him that he was supposed to leave town and stop seeing Maggie, but he didn’t. Konstantin explains that he was trying to do that, but he had an accident with his foot, which made it difficult for him to leave. Konstantin demands to know why Steve is harassing him and what he wants. Steve’s answer is simple – he wants Konstantin to leave Salem and even the country. “I will not leave the country, and you can go to hell,” Konstantin tells him. Steve tells Konstantin that they have connections to the ISA and they can make it happen.
They take him back to the park and give him a warning that he has one week to leave or face the consequences. While in the park, Konstantin recognizes John’s eyes and reflects on seeing him before. Steve and John warn that they will have to take more serious actions if he doesn’t stay away from Maggie.
