Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Monday, December 4, 2023: Tate Makes Holly Squirm
Days Recap Today
At the Pub, Holly and Johnny talk about the situation with Nicole while Tate tries to run interference with Chanel in the Square. Chanel tells him that she has to get back to Johnny at the Pub and he tries to stall her by asking about the oven in the bakery. Chanel tells him to fill out the job application and promises that if she gives him a job, she will explain all about the oven to him. After she leaves, Tate texts Holly to give her a heads-up.
At the Pub Johnny tells Holly that he needs her help. Her phone beeps, and he asks if she has to take it and she tells him she doesn’t because it’s probably just one of her friends trying to drag her into drama. Holly is surprised when Johnny tells her that he and Chanel‘s wedding anniversary is coming up and he wants her to help with something special for Chanel. Holly agrees to help him and Johnny thanks her.
Chanel comes in and Johnny gets a phone call from Sydney so he steps away to take it. Chanel tells Holly that she’s happy that they have a chance to talk alone and call her out on her crush on Johnny. Holly denies that she has a crush on him and lies to Chanel and tells her that she has a crush on Tate but explains that they can’t date because Tate‘s father won’t let him have a social life.
Johnny comes back and Tate arrives and Holly tells Tate that she was just telling Chanel about her crush on him and how bummed out she was that they couldn’t date because of his father. Tate sits down next to her and wraps an arm around her before telling her that they can date because he doesn’t care what his father thinks anymore.
Days Recap Today
Dimitri freaks out at the motel, thinking that it’s the police knocking on the door but a voice tells him that it’s not the police and to open the door or the police will be called. Dimitri answers the door and doesn’t recognize Darius who standing on the other side. Darius tells him that they’ve met before, but isn’t surprised that Dimitri doesn’t recognize him because when they met before Darius was in drag as Jackie Cox. Dimitri remembers meeting her when he was undercover as an ISA agent and asks what he’s doing there.
Darius tells him that he’s there to help him escape as revenge against Leo. Dimitri knows that Darius and Leo were married and that they got divorced but doesn’t know the details so Darius fills him in. Dimitri apologizes for Darius getting hurt but tells him that Leo has changed and that they truly love each other. Darius tries to convince Dimitri to dress in drag and let him help him escape to Canada leaving Leo on the hook for all the charges.
Days Recap Today
At the Salem PD, Sloan tells EJ that Dimitri will turn himself in in exchange for all charges being dropped against Leo. She also tells him that Dimitri will not plead guilty to murder and convinces him that he’ll never be able to make those charges anyway. EJ agrees to the deal and goes to draw up the paperwork but Leo isn’t sure that he can let Dimitri make that sacrifice for him. Sloan does her best to talk him into it until she gets the call from Eric and has to leave quickly.
EJ comes back in with the papers and Leo signs them, and right after he does, Dimitri walks into the interrogation room to turn himself in. At the motel, Darius dresses himself in the outfit he had wanted Dimitri to wear and thinks he looks better in it anyway before leaving the room with a flourish.
At the hospital, Nicole is very excited as she anticipates the DNA test results saying that the baby is her child. All of a sudden she stops and apologizes to Eric for being so inconsiderate of his feelings. She tells him that she knows that he’s wanted to be a father for so long, and she’s very sorry for what this must be doing to him. Eric tells Nicole that he’s fine and she gets angry when she realizes that he’s only doing the test to humor her.
He tries to explain to her that he doesn’t feel that this is anything more than her grief making her imagine things. Nicole reminds him that he didn’t see her baby after he was born, but she did. She tells him that she knows her child better than anyone else and she knows that the baby he adopted is her son. Eric gets angry when Nicole accuses Sloan of being the one behind it all but Nicole reminds him that she stole a baby as well so she knows how easily it can be done.
Eric says he’s going to check on the DNA test results and Nicole says that she’ll keep an eye on the baby but Eric says he’s bringing him with him. Once he’s outside, Eric calls Sloan and tells her about the DNA test. Sloan comes to the hospital and walks into the office where Nicole’s waiting before Eric gets back. Nicole tells her that the results will be ready soon and then everyone will know the truth. Eric comes in and Sloan tells him she never consented to the test on their son and doesn’t want it run. Eric tells her it’s too late and holds up the envelope and says the results are in.
