Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Tuesday, December 5, 2023: Sloan attempts to stop Eric from viewing the DNA results. Dimitri debates turning himself in. Stefan shares his plans with Ava.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Tuesday, December 5, 2023: The Baby Has A Name!
Days Recap Today
Dimitri walks into the interrogation room and tells EJ to release Leo because he’s there to turn himself in. EJ rips up the paperwork and says that he’s going to charge both of them. He says that he never signed the deal but Dimitri tells him it will still hold up in court. EJ is shocked to find out that Dimitri went to law school and Dimitri is pleasantly surprised that Leo remembers that he did.
Out in the lobby, Rafe tells Harris about the drugs they had seized going missing and tells him that he thinks whoever did it probably stole Harris’ keys. Harris feels bad, and Rafe jokingly says that he’s suspending him. Harris thinks he’s serious, but Rafe tells him that he’s not and tells him that he doesn’t blame him. Harris still feels bad, but Rafe tells him they’ll make a stronger case the next time and reminds him that they have Dimitri at the very least.
EJ comes out and tells Rafe to book Dimitri and Rafe goes into the interrogation room and tells Leo that he’s free to go. He cuffs Dimtri but then gets a text with something he has to deal with and gives them a few minutes to say goodbye. Dimitri admits to Leo that he almost didn’t come but he couldn’t let Leo pay for what he had done. Leo is worried about Dimitri being charged with the baby’s murder and Dimitri tells him that he can’t be because the baby is not dead. Leo freaks out and Dimitri tells him to drop it and asks him to trust him. Rafe comes back to take Dimitri to holding, and Dimitri makes Leo promise that he’ll be happy.

Stefan surprises Ava at the Bistro. She wasn’t expecting to see him because the restaurant has been closed since she killed Gil, but he tells her that Clyde made sure he got a set of the keys. Stefan isn’t thrilled with what Clyde is making them do but Ava’s just happy he only has them laundering money, and not actually running drugs out of the restaurant. Stefan tells her that he has a plan to have Clyde killed so that they’ll both be free from him and tells her about Vivian‘s old valet who is locked up in Statesville with Clyde.
Ava thinks this is a bad idea because if it doesn’t work Gabi and Tripp will both be killed She does her best to talk Stefan out of it and then Harris shows up and is surprised to see them together. Stefan tells him that he bought the restaurant and Harris is concerned that Ava won’t be happy working for him but she assures him that she’s fine. She pointedly tells Stefan that they’ll work fine together as long as he doesn’t do anything that they’ll both regret and Stefan promises her that he won’t.
After he leaves the restaurant, Stefan pulls out his phone, calls his mother, and tells her that he needs her help. Inside the Bistro Harris tells Ava what happened with the missing evidence and Rafe, thinking that whoever took it used his keys. He asks her if she remembers what he did with his keys after he took the recorder out of his desk when he was taking her statement about killing Gill. She lies and tells them that she didn’t see them and covers convincingly. She tells Harris it’s not his fault and offers to cheer him up. He asks what she had in mind, and she suggests that they have their first date right then at the Bistro. Harris agrees, and they share a kiss.

Sloan tells Eric that she didn’t consent to the DNA test on their son, but he tells her that the results are already in and held at the envelope. She doesn’t want him to read the results and Nicole says it’s because she knows that they’re gonna say that the baby is Nicole‘s but Sloan lies and says that she doesn’t want to feed into Nicole‘s delusions about their baby being hers.
Eric seems a little suspicious and tells her that the best thing to do is to read the results so that Nicole will know the truth. Nicole grabs the envelope and opens it, and is truly confused when the results say that the baby isn’t hers. She doesn’t understand how that could be because she is so sure that the baby is her son.
Kayla comes in and Nicole asks her if she sure that they tested the results they tested the babies DNA against hers and Kayla admits that they couldn’t get enough DNA off of Nicole‘s toothbrush so they use the sample they already had from EJ. Nicole is angry about the results and lashes out before leaving the office quickly.

At home, EJ tells Nicole about arresting Dimitri and dropping the charges against Leo. Nicole tells him that she really doesn’t care and tells him what happened at the hospital with the DNA test. EJ is sorry that she went through all of that alone and Nicole rages against herself, asking what kind of mother doesn’t recognize her own child. EJ tries to comfort her and suggests that they go upstairs to rest. Nicole agrees as she also remembers the moments she shared with her son after he was born.
