Days of Our Lives Recap January 18, 2024: Today on Days of Our Lives – Johnny tells Chanel he wants to marry her again. Wendy and Tripp engage in a night of romance.  Harris opens up to Rafe about his feelings for Ava. Brady and Alex join forces to find Theresa, who has gone missing.

Days of Our Lives Recap January 18, 2024

Johnny and Chanel are in bed, where he acknowledges his feelings of guilt for being so happy while his father and Nicole worry about Holly just down the hall. Chanel responds by mentioning that Holly is scheduled to be transferred to Italy tomorrow. Johnny reflects on the positive impact the facility had on his father and shares that the recent events with Holly have revealed something significant to him, something that he feels they should discuss.

He emphasizes how unpredictable life can be, and expresses his desire not to spend another day without Chanel. He suggests that they should remarry and notes that they shouldn’t wait any longer. This time, he envisions a lavish wedding. Chanel suggests she will say yes if he proposed properly. Johnny hypothetically inquires about a suitable time for them to marry, leading them to consider Valentine’s Day as a potential wedding date.

Chanel Says Yes!

Johnny returns to make an official proposal. “Chanel Dupree, I love you with all my heart,” he begins. He continues, “I feel like the luckiest guy on the planet to have you in my life. You deserve the world and I intend to give it to you because you are my world. So, will you marry me?” Chanel accepts his proposal, and he places a temporary ring on her finger. He explains that it is an Italian signet ring given to him by his grandfather for his high school graduation. He assures her that she will soon have a formal diamond ring, and she pledges to cherish this one forever, while still anticipating a big fat rock.

Days of Our Lives Recap January 18, 2024

Wendy and Tripp are in bed, engaging in a moment of affection when her phone interrupts them. She explains that she must answer as it might be her mother calling. Although Tripp offers to fetch her a drink, she declines and suggests that upon his return, they may explore the significance of physical contact.

In the kitchen, Tripp is startled by a sound, only to discover Ava in the darkness. She hints at recent events involving a police raid at the Bistro. Concerned, Tripp offers his assistance to Ava, emphasizing his willingness to support her. When Wendy emerges and learns of Ava’s presence, she decides she should go back to bed but Tripp encourages her to stay, disclosing the details of the Bistro raid.

Despite their intentions to involve the authorities, Ava cautions against it, citing concerns regarding potential corruption. Frustrated by the situation, Ava walks away, leaving Tripp and Wendy determined to support her despite the risks involved.

Days of Our Lives Recap January 18, 2024: Over at the Station!

At the police station, Rafe expresses satisfaction with the night’s operations, citing two successful raids without any casualties and the seizure of drugs. He emphasizes the need to approach the source more closely. Harris discloses his attempts as he talks about the raid at the Bistro where thorough searching yielded no results. Rafe, Jada, and Harris deliberate on the reasons for the unsuccessful third raid, suspecting advance knowledge of their operation and potential involvement of a dirty cop. They express concern about the presence of a corrupt cop within their ranks. Rafe announces plans to thoroughly review the officers involved in the stakeouts for any suspicious behavior. He is determined to identify any potential red flags.

Days Recap: Harris Tells Rafe About It!

Jada abruptly leaves after receiving a text. Harris shares his observation of Stefan’s apparent smugness during the failed raid and Ava’s reluctance to open up in his presence. Rafe reiterates his distrust of Ava due to her questionable background. While acknowledging Ava’s dubious past, Harris notes her efforts to lead a reformed life, but acknowledges a shift in her behavior since becoming involved with Stefan. Rafe confronts Harris about his emotional involvement with Ava, cautioning him about potential bias in handling the case. Despite Rafe’s suggestion to remove him from the case, Harris reassures his commitment to maintaining objectivity and professional integrity.

Days Recap: Theresa Is Missing!

Brady is seated on the couch when he receives a call from Alex, who expresses that he did not know who else to call. Alex proceeds to inform Brady that Theresa is nowhere to be found. According to him, they had retired for the night, but upon waking up, Theresa was nowhere to be found. Despite attempting to reach her on her cellphone, all calls went straight to voicemail. Consequently, Brady makes the decision to visit Alex.

Upon arrival, concerns are raised about Theresa potentially relapsing and feeling overwhelmed by the ongoing situation with Tate. Brady emphasizes the urgency of locating her. As Alex asks where they could start their search, Brady reveals that he has an idea and proceeds to contact Jada. He seeks her assistance off the record, citing Theresa’s disappearance and indicating his concern, given the difficult circumstances with their son. Although the duration was insufficient for filing a police report, Brady remains worried about Theresa’s well-being.

Days Recap Today: Theresa Is High As A Kite!

He requests Jada’s help to unofficially trace Theresa’s whereabouts through her credit card activity. Jada highlights the necessity of a search warrant for acquiring the records, suggesting that Brady visit the station and file a missing person’s report. Expressing apprehension about potential delays and drawing parallels to the ordeal with Holly and the prevalent drug issue, Brady underscored the urgency of the situation. Eventually, Jada agrees to look into Theresa’s financial records. Later, Jada calls confirming that she located Theresa at the Perry Motel and revealing that she was under the influence of drugs.

Brady and Alex arrive at the motel and find a visibly intoxicated Theresa lying in bed. Despite her condition, she expresses delight at their presence and suggests having a party. Brady declines, prompting Theresa to label him as boring. Brady desires to take her home but his suggestion is countered by Alex, who proposes seeking medical assistance at the hospital. However, Theresa vehemently opposes, insisting that she is experiencing an unusual sense of happiness and pleads with them not to ruin it. Recognizing the need to maintain discretion, they implore Jada to keep the situation confidential. To avoid drawing attention to Theresa’s condition, the decision is made to spend the night at the motel.
