Marlena discovers John reclined on the sofa. Upon waking him, he startles her by abruptly springing to his feet. Expressing regret, he tenderly bestows a morning kiss upon her. John elucidates that he experienced a restless night and, not wishing to disturb her, sought solace on the couch. Marlena implores him to confide in her. He then mentions that he had Tate and Brady on his mind. Acknowledging their shared concern, Marlena bids him farewell as she departs for work, culminating in the exchange of affectionate declarations and a parting kiss.
Marlena encounters Eric while at the park with Jude. He apologizes for the incident involving Sloan, attributing it to her attempt to make a favorable impression. Marlena reassures him that no apology is necessary, and as she has an available time slot before her next patient, she suggests they grab a cup of coffee and catch up. They proceed to the square, where they engage in conversation about Sloan. Marlena implores Eric to convey to Sloan that there is no need for embarrassment, as she is now considered a part of the family. Subsequently, Eric provides Marlena with an update on his photography business, which is surpassing his initial expectations.

Steve and Konstantin engage in a heated discussion and Maggie intervenes and demand explanations. Steve asserts that Konstantin is in Salem to exploit her, and he refuses to stand idly by and watch her get hurt. Although she appreciates his concern, Maggie feels insulted that he considers her to be naive and incapable of judging someone’s character. Steve remains unwavering in his belief that Konstantin is deceiving her, but she is unwilling to entertain the notion, drawing parallels with a past instance involving Victor, when she disregarded warnings.
Steve advises her against comparing Konstantin to Victor, but Maggie insists on drawing parallels and highlighting Steve’s personal transformation. Later, Konstantin expresses gratitude for her support. While Maggie acknowledges Steve’s good intentions, she believes the harassment won’t stop. She confesses to resent it. Considering the circumstances, Maggie questions whether Salem is the most suitable place for Konstantin. In response, Konstantin expresses a deep attachment to the place and reluctance to leaves. Maggie proposes they go home, but their plans are interrupted when Maggie sees Brady entering the pub. She informs Konstantin of her intention to talk to Brady and arranges to meet him at the mansion after.
Steve Runs to John!
Steve goes to see John. John looks a little rough and explains to Steve that he had a restless night because of dream he has been having and cannot shake the feeling that something is off. He adds that he learned that when his mind starts going to these dark places, it is trying to tell him something and it’s not good. Speaking of not good, Steve mentions his run in with Konstantin where Maggie showed up defending him. John suggests they approach this situation from a different angle and just back off. John notes that if they give him the distance, Konstantin may just hang himself.

At Statesville, Harris and Clyde engage in a discussion concerning the drug situation. Clyde asserts that he is not associated with the drug ring, emphasizing his strong advocacy for drug abstinence and sobriety since he joined the program years ago. Harris, in response, accuses him of lying. Clyde maintains that he has reformed and aims to set an example for his fellow inmates. He then offers to share his perspectives on Salem’s current affairs, with Harris attentively listening. Clyde expresses his view of a crisis as an opportunity to potentially develop a significant enterprise, albeit purely hypothetically. Furthermore, he hints at an interest in entering a specific line of business, suggesting Harris as a potential candidate for employment.
Harris’s Offer!
Harris implies making an offer that Clyde cannot refuse, but Clyde promptly reminds him that his remarks were purely hypothetical and, therefore, no offer will be made. Harris then insists that he knows Clyde is responsible for the drug issues and vows to cease his operations. In response, Clyde cautions Harris, citing the unfortunate fate of Lucas Horton. Clyde suggests that Harris must care deeply for someone and basically threatens to harm this individual. Unfazed, Harris warns Clyde that any harm to his loved ones will have severe consequences.

Alex walks in to find Brady and Theresa kissing. “What the hell!” he exclaims. Theresa claims it isn’t what he thinks, but he is convinced otherwise. Blaming the drugs, Theresa regrets her poor decision and pleads with Alex to forgive her, vowing that it will not happen again. She expresses her feelings of failure for jeopardizing her years of sobriety and Brady reassures her. He encourages her not to blame herself and to focus on recovery, attending meetings and finding a sponsor.
After Brady leaves, Theresa questions whether Alex wants to end things, but he assures her that he simply wants her to be alright. Alex then mentions that it appears that she truly needed Brady, to which Theresa admits that she doesn’t know if she could have coped without him. Alex then asks Theresa to be honest about her feelings for Brady, to which she responds that he is solely the father of their son and that is the extent of their relationship. She states that she has no romantic feelings for him at all. Theresa emphasizes the importance of her sobriety at the moment and suggests that if Alex doesn’t trust her, perhaps she should consider moving out.
Maggie Offers to Help!
Maggie approaches Brady, and they engage in a discussion regarding Theresa’s relapse, which Maggie learned about from Alex. Brady expresses his concern for Theresa, mentioning that John and Marlena have a spare room where he could monitor her closely. Maggie, however, voices her disagreement, citing their shared experiences. She offers to intervene by arranging to get a sponsor for Theresa. Meanwhile, Konstantin arrives home and upon pulling out the pagoda card, remarks, “I never thought I’d see you again… Pawn.“
