Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for July 18, 2023: Gabi Lays Down The Law With Li
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on July 18, 2023: Kristen tells Belle that Brady threatened her. Brady’s on the spot when Jada questions him. Li is surprised when Gabi shows up. A guilty Leo returns home to Gwen.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap July 18, 2023: Gabi Lays Down The Law With Li
Belle and Kristen argue about what happened and Kristen tells her that Rachel is with Brady but that she didn’t kidnap her. Belle refuses to believe her and tells Kristen that she won’t help her. Brady is shocked about Rachel calling the police on him and tries to deny it, saying he doesn’t even have a gun but Rachel points at the drawer he had put the lockbox in and Jada finds the gun. She tells Brady to get a babysitter because they need to talk at the police station.
Jada and Brady are talking in the interrogation room at the Salem PD when Belle comes in and tells him to be quiet. He tells her that he isn’t going to do that because he called Rachel a liar earlier and feels guilty about it so he has to tell the truth. Belle tries to convince Jada that it was all in the heat of the moment and that Brady would never have actually hurt Kristen but Melinda Trask comes in and says they are not letting it go that easy.
Melinda tells Jada to book Brady and then go get a statement from Kristen. Jada goes to the DiMera mansion and Kristen thinks she is there to arrest her for kidnapping. Jada tells her that Rachel told them what actually happened and that she is there about Brady threatening her with a gun. When Brady and Belle get back to John and Marlena’s he asks her if he could actually go to prison and Belle tells him that if Kristen presses charges, he could. Neither of them knows Rachel is listening in the hallway.
EJ and Stefan meet for drinks and EJ tells Stefan that he wants to call an actual truce. He tells him about how he found out about Megan’s plans to kill Stefan and how he refused to go along with her which led her to knock him out and hold him prisoner. Stefan is surprised that EJ stood up for him and they lament Megan escaping. EJ thinks that they should turn their attention to her son and team up to get rid of him.
Li is on the phone making plans with someone when Gabi arrives. He is surprised to see her and even more surprised when she pulls a gun on him. She tells him that she doesn’t believe that he wasn’t in on the plan to kill Stefan and that she is going to kill him to keep Stefan safe. Li doesn’t think she’ll actually do it but she reminds him that she shot her first husband and isn’t afraid of prison if it will keep Stefan alive.
Li tells her that he is actually trying to move on from her for real and even hired a matchmaker. He tells her to look at his laptop because his dating profile is on it. Gabi sees that he is telling the truth and makes it clear to him what will happen if he tries to hurt Stefan again. After she leaves Li goes to meet his date. He is surprised when Melinda shows up wearing the dress color he was told to look for.
Gwen finishes her work and tries to call Dimitri but gets his voicemail. She leaves him a message about meeting later to make wedding plans, unaware that he is in bed with Leo. After they finish making love, Dimitri notices a missed call from Gwen and Leo starts to feel guilty again. Dimitri tries to make him feel better and they make love again before Leo leaves to go home, promising not to say anything to Gwen.
When Leo gets back to the room, Gwen asks if he has been avoiding her and Leo feels even guiltier. She tells him that she thinks he is avoiding her because he doesn’t like Dimitri and thinks he has an ulterior motive in marrying her. Leo lies and tells her that he doesn’t and that they worked everything out. Gwen is happy about this but curious why Leo was with Dimitri all day if they worked it out the day before. Leo lies and tells her that they were working on a wedding surprise for her. Gwen is excited and touched which only makes Leo feel worse.
Kristen is having a drink in the parlor when Dimitri comes in. She asks him who he was sneaking out of the house, his girlfriend or his boyfriend. Dimitri tries to cover but Kristen tells him what Rachel saw and told her about. She assumes he only slept with Leo to keep him quiet about the codicil to the will and Dimtri goes along with it. Kristen tells him that she wants a portion of his inheritance in exchange for his silence and he reluctantly agrees.
Stefan and EJ come in and tell Dimitri that they are kicking him out. He tries to tell him that he had nothing to do with his mother’s plot but they stand firm. Kristen comes to Dimitri’s defense and tells her brothers that she can cause problems for them at DiMera Enterprises if they kick Dimitri out. Stefan backs down but EJ is not happy about it and storms out. Gabi comes in and asks what is going on. Stefan asks her where she was and they go upstairs to talk. Dimitri thanks Kristen and she smiles, saying she knows he will pay her back.
