Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on July 3, 2023: A dangerous Harris crashes Gabi and Stefan’s engagement party. Rafe catches Li lurking. Nicole complains to Eric about EJ abandoning her. Leo finds Kristen and EJ.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap July 3, 2023: Megan Is Shot
At the mansion Eric takes care of Nicole, getting her something to eat while Leo tries to figure out what is going on with Kristen and EJ in the wine cellar. He questions them about Megan’s plans for Gwen but they have no idea about that and are losing their memories about what she did to them and has planned for Stefan as well.
Nicole and Eric share a kiss before jumping back, Eric saying he can’t do it because he is with Sloan and she is with EJ. Just then EJ and Kristen come through the secret door, surprising Nicole. EJ explains that they were tied in the wine cellar the whole time she thought he was gone. Eric goes home and EJ and Nicole go upstairs as Kristen calls the police and tries to report their kidnapping but can’t remember any details about it.
Eric sits alone in his dark room and thinks about this kiss and Nicole does the same as EJ showers. When he gets out he questions what Eric was doing there and Nicole tells him about having to go to the hospital. He is alarmed but then elated when she tells him that everything is fine and that the specialist was optimistic about their chances of having the baby. EJ questions her feelings for him and Nicole tells him that she realized when he was gone that she loves him and they kiss passionately.
Li grins up at the Bistro, happy the plan seems to be proceeding when he is confronted by Rafe. He tells Rafe that he has accepted Gabi and Stefan being together and has let her go before Rafe heads up to the party and Li heads home where he fantasizes about Gabi coming to him when Stefan is dead.
At the engagement party, Megan acts frightened that Harris is there to kill her but he tells them all that he is there to kill Stefan. Stefan demands to know who wants him dead and Harris tells him the order came from Li. Gabi begs to call Li to get him to call it off but Harris will not let her. Chad realizes Harris is brainwashed and tries to break through it but can’t. Rafe comes upstairs and pulls out his gun. While Harris is distracted by that Gabi jumps on his back and they struggle. The gun goes off and Megan is shot!
Dimitri tends to his mother while Gwen calls for help and Harris is subdued. Later Wendy laments her brother’s actions to Johnny and Chad and Stephanie stand guard over Harris until the police arrive. At the hospital, Gwen comforts Dimitri and tells him she isn’t leaving. Gabi and Stefan confront Li at his apartment right before Rafe arrests him.
