Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Thursday, November 23, 2023: It’s Thanksgiving in Salem. Stephanie is suspicious of Chad. Johnny calls Chanel after seeing something concerning. Chanel has suspicions about Holly. Paulina and Abe have a memorable moment.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Thursday, November 23, 2023: Abe And Paulina Reconnect
Days Recap Today
Brady and Tate walk into the Pub and Brady is shocked when Tate tells him that he was right. Tate admits to his father that he wasn’t very happy about having to get up early to make food to bring to the homeless shelter but now he’s happy that they did. Brady agrees that it gives a good feeling and tells him that they have two turkey dinners left and asks if he wants to share them with his father. Tate agrees and they sit down to eat. After they’re done, Tate tells his dad about what happened with Holly and Brady suggests that he bring the two pieces of pumpkin pie over to her as a peace offering. Tate agrees that it’s a good idea and thanks his father.

Johnny is about to leave when he sees Holly sitting in the living room by herself. He can tell she’s upset, but she tries to deny it before eventually admitting that she’s not OK. Johnny tells her that he was going to go have dinner with Chanel and her family, but decided to stay and have dinner with her instead. Holly tells him that he doesn’t have to do that but he insists and makes the call to Chanel. While they are eating and having a good time they get interrupted by Tate bringing Holly the pumpkin pie. Since Holly is no longer alone, Johnny leaves to go find Chanel and Tate apologizes to Holly for interrupting. Holly tells him that he can make it up to her by helping her break up Johnny and Chanel. Tate doesn’t want to do that but Holly manipulates him into agreeing to help her.

Paulina comes out of the kitchen and finds Chanel has set the table. She compliments how her daughter did it and Chanel tells her that she’s happy that Abe is joining them for dinner. Pauline is happy that Johnny is joining them as well but notices that Chanel seems unhappy about something. Chanel assures her that everything is fine with her and Johnny but confides in her about Holly’s crush on Johnny and how much it bothers her.
Paulina doesn’t think Chanel has anything to worry about and Chanel agrees but still doesn’t like it. She gets a call from Johnny telling her that he can’t come for dinner because he’s hanging out with Holly and she tells him that she understands but she is still upset. After she hangs up Abe arrives and they all sit down for dinner. Abe enjoys everything and Chanel tells him that Paulina cooked it all by herself. She tells him about her trip to visit Lani and the kids and shows him pictures.
Abe looks at a few, but then gives her phone back to her and says that he can’t bear to look at any more of them. He admits that it’s hard for him to see pictures of his daughter and grandchildren when he doesn’t really remember them. Chanel apologizes, but Abe tells her that she didn’t do anything wrong. Chanel leaves Paulina and Abe alone to talk while she goes to clean up the bakery and they share dessert. Abe notices that Paulina gets a little distracted and she admits to him that she had just had the urge to kiss him, but remembered what happened the last time she did. Abe admits to her that he wanted to kiss her too, and says that he still does before kissing her, much to Paulina’s delight.

Chad gets home from the Turkey Trot race and Stephanie shows him a trophy the kids made for him just in case he didn’t win the actual race. Chad is very touched and goes to take a shower so they can go to Julie and Doug’s for Thanksgiving dinner as a family. While he’s in the shower, he get a call and Stephanie notices that it’s from Gwen. When he gets out of the shower, Stephanie asks him why her cousin would be calling him and he tells her that he doesn’t know. He checks the voicemail and then lies to Stephanie and tells her that Gwen just wanted to wish Thomas a happy birthday. When Stephanie goes to check on the kids, he returns Gwen’s call, thanks her for agreeing to sell her half of The Spectator to him, and tells her that the paperwork is all in order.
