Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Wednesday, November 29, 2023: Steve lays out his suspicions to Kayla and Sarah. Xander overhears Alex and Theresa. Kayla questions Sarah about her feelings for Xander. A romantic evening is disrupted by bad news.

Days Recap Today
Steve, tells Sarah and Kayla that he thinks Konstantin could have orchestrated the kidnapping with the help of an accomplice. They are both skeptical and Sarah admits that she had her doubts about Konstantin at first but tells Steve that her feelings for him have changed completely. She doesn’t believe that he was behind the kidnapping of her child and still credits him with saving her daughter. Steve leaves to go try to find more information and Sarah and Kayla talk about Xander and Sarah‘s confusing feelings for him. Kayla tells her that she understands because she fell in love with a bad boy herself.

Alex overhears Konstantin accuse Theresa of only being with Alex for his money and confronts the man for saying it. Maggie comes in and demands answers herself. Konstantin tells them that he was only questioning Theresa out of concern for Maggie and her family. Theresa assures everyone that what’s going on with her and Alex has nothing to do with wanting his money. After Alex and Theresa leave, Steve comes in and confronts Konstantin about what he learned in Greece.
He offers to keep quiet if Konstantin agrees to leave Salem and never returns. Maggie comes in, and Konstantin tells her about the deal Steve wants to make with him and confesses to her the truth about the tablecloth and the loan from Victor. He tells her that he only did the things he did, and told the lies he told out of concern for her because he loved Victor, and cares very deeply for her. Steve accuses him of orchestrating the kidnapping and Konstantin vehemently denies it. He admits to them that he does know who was behind it.

Everett is shocked when Xander tells him that he’s fired and doesn’t understand because Xander just told him how good of a job he was doing. Xander lies and blames Gwen. He explains Gwen‘s relationship with Leo and tells Everett that Gwen was upset about the op-ed praising Leo, and demanded that he fire him. Everett isn’t happy because he moved his whole life to take the job. Before he leaves he wishes Xander good luck with putting an entire paper together before the next day.

Stephanie is skeptical about Chad‘s change of heart about Everett but he convinces her that he’s sincere. He tells her that he knows he’s been too hard on Everett and a lot of it was projecting. He says that he knows he has to take responsibility for his own actions and shortcomings, and not try to blame them on someone else. They kiss and are starting to get passionate when there’s a knock on the door. It’s Everett who’s come by to tell Stephanie that he was fired. Stephanie can’t believe it and feels very bad when he tells her that it was because Gwen was unhappy about the op-ed about Leo. She feels guilty because it was her idea, but Everett tells her that it’s not her fault. After Everett leaves Chad also tells Stephanie that it wasn’t her fault. He says that at the end of the day what went into the paper was Everett’s decision. Outside the pub, Everett calls Gwen and leaves a voicemail for her, wanting to talk to her about his firing.
