The Days of Our Lives episode for October 15, 2026, features Julie canceling her date with Foster, which prompts Maggie to call her out on the real reason why. Julie explains that she isn’t sure she will ever be ready for another relationship, so Maggie shares some solid advice with her. Meanwhile, Abe and Theo discuss Lexie’s memorial service. The two set the event for early November, and hope for a drama-free service. They even invite Paulina to attend. Additionally, Alex gives Stephanie some good news, but she has a big revelation for him in return. Finally, Tate holds a physical therapy session with Joy. Here are the three big takeaways from today’s Days of Our Lives recap.

Key Takeaways

  • Stephanie tells Alex that Joy may be faking her injury, but he refuses to believe it.
  • Joy flirts with Tate to throw Alex off and starts plotting her next move.
  • Holly and Mason bond over art.
  • Julie opens up to Maggie about her dating fears.

Holly and Mason Bond

In the Town Square, Tate tells Holly that he has to postpone their movie plans because he has a training session with Joy Wesley. Holly then reveals that she has her first one-on-one session for the mental health hotline. Furthermore, Holly shares that she and Molly finally made peace. She adds that it was his idea for her to work at the hotline.

At home, Joy is out of her wheelchair and about to take some pills because she doesn’t want Tate to find out she can move. However, her pill supply is almost gone, so she calls her dad and begs him for more.

Later, Holly goes over to The Brady Pub, where she runs into Abe and Theo and delivers a message from her mom. Shortly after, Mason arrives and sits with Holly. The two end up talking about art, and it turns out Mason loves art just as much as Holly does. “I’m full of surprises,” he tells her.

Holly asks about their future sessions, and Mason explains that he needs a place to stay. He mentions seeing a room-for-rent sign and considering it. Holly notes that she knows the owners, so she offers to put in a good word for him. He loves it.

Stephanie Drops a Bombshell on Alex

Meanwhile, Stephanie visits Alex, who announces that he found a solution for Joy’s living situation. He explains that Joy can move into the Kiriakis estate today, especially since the family is moving back into the mansion. He notes that it was his dad’s idea. “Joy will be living in the lap of luxury,” he says.

Alex assumes Joy will be thrilled, but Stephanie strongly begs to differ. In fact, she reveals that she saw Joy’s legs move the other day. The revelation shocks Alex, and he can’t believe Stephanie is accusing Joy of faking her injury. Stephanie warns him that Joy wants him all to herself, but Alex refuses to buy it. “How can you be so clueless?” she asks.

Unbeknownst to them, Joy eavesdrops on the entire conversation.

Joy Changes Her Strategy

At the same time, Tate arrives for his session. Since Stephanie has to run to a meeting with Paulina, she suggests that she and Alex finish their conversation later. Tate and Joy prepare to kickstart their training. They discuss the need for more space. Right on cue, Alex interrupts and announces that space won’t be a problem anymore because he arranged for Joy and Kelsey to move into the Kiriakis mansion.

“You what!?” Joy says in shock.

Joy Has a Plan B

Alex explains that the move is happening today. He insists that it is the best place for her and that she will absolutely love it. “That sounds perfect,” she replies, quickly shifting her attitude. Alex is happy she is being so cool about the arrangement, so he leaves her to her session.

As they begin, Joy tells Tate that she is starting to feel a little weak, but she decides to give it another try. Suddenly, Joy notices Alex passing by in the background. To throw him off, she starts overtly flirting with Tate. Tate catches on to the dynamic and decides to end the session early. He then promises to see her next time.

Afterward, Alex asks Joy how the session went. She acts like she never saw him back there and insists it was great. “You know, I don’t remember Tate being so hot… what’s his relationship status?” she asks.

Later, Alex meets Stephanie in the Town Square and updates her on what happened. He points out that Joy didn’t resist moving out at all and was actually hard-core flirting with Tate. Consequently, he can’t wait to get Stephanie back in his bed.

However, Joy is already plotting her next move. She tells Kelsey that she needs to come up with a Plan B to make everything Stephanie said look completely wrong. Ultimately, Joy decides that getting Alex to move into the mansion with them someday might just be her best move yet.
