What has it been like to play Finn grappling with his father’s mortality? “First of all, Greg’s amazing. He’s a lovely human being, he’s a lovely spirit of a man, and then on top of that, he’s an amazing actor. Connecting with him is so easy. This has been a very strange year for me because I’m the same age as my mom was when she passed away, and of course, I lost my father as well, and I lost them both to cancer. I remember that slow decline, but I didn’t have to draw on that. Someone asked me, ‘Did you draw on those experiences?’, knowing a little bit about what I went through, and I said, ‘No, this is just the relationship that I have with Greg and the notion of him not being on the show, because I enjoy working with him so much and he is so talented and I think he brings so much.’ They’re hard scenes but they’re easy to do, if that makes any sense. It’s just the connection between two people, or three people, if you bring Chase into it.” How do you think the dynamic between Finn, Chase and Gregory has shifted now that everyone knows what Gregory is facing? “I think it’s very true to life; if anybody’s ever dealt somebody that is terminally ill, very quickly, your own ego takes a back seat to what they’re experiencing and the pain that they are suffering. These people were distanced for most of their lives and now they’re reconnecting. Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on October 30, 2023: Someone from Stephanie’s past makes an unexpected return. Marlena is concerned about an unsound patient. Gabi and Stefan celebrate their victory, but need more. Nicole comes upon EJ in a fit of fury.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap October 30, 2023: Her Ex-Boyfriend’s Back!

Marlena is on the phone in her office and says that she has a session with a patient in crisis. After the call, Li comes in and is happy he could get to see her because he needs her help since he is losing his mind. Li tells her that he’s consumed with thoughts of Gabi and it’s affecting all parts of his life. He really wants to get over her. Marlena tells him that she knows that he wasn’t involved in the plot to kill Stefan but Li admits to her that he actually was.
He tells Marlena that he knows that due to doctor-patient confidentiality, she can’t say anything and Marlena admits that’s true unless he tells her that he plans to do something illegal or harmful to somebody else in the future. Li tells her that he has no intention of doing anything like that, he just wants help getting over Gabi.

Nicole comes upon EJ in a fit. She asks if he is having a bad day. He says yes and he tells her that Steffy and Gabi got their grubby little hands on Kristen’s shares. She wonders if this means they now have control of the family company, but EJ says not but all they had to do is get one more shareholder on their side and that would be it. Nicole stops him from destroying something that Sydney gave him and tells him that his acting like this is giving her pause.
Nicole tells him that she worries about bringing a baby into his family when she doesn’t feel that she and their baby are a priority to him. EJ talks about how Stefano always put his family first and vows to do the same for his family. He promises to do better and Nicole wants to believe him but has a hard time doing it. Nicole reminds him that they were supposed to get married but it got derailed because of his revenge plot against Ava. EJ tells her that they will get married the day after Halloween to show her how committed he is to her and their child.

Chad vents to Kate in the Pub about his fight with Stephanie. And he tells her that they’re not on the same page about marriage, that Stephanie wants to get married, but he doesn’t. He confides in her that their fight was about Abigail and wonders if maybe he moved on too soon. He also tells Kate that he’s not sure that Stephanie‘s desire to get married is actually about him and not about her fear of being ghosted again like what happened with her ex. Kate offers to keep the kids overnight so he and Stephanie can have a talk.

Stephanie is shocked to see her ex-boyfriend Everett standing at her door. He asks if he can come in and she demands an explanation as to where he’s been all these years since he disappeared on her in Seatle. He explains that he didn’t ghost her like she thought, he was actually hit by a car and in a coma for years and when he woke up he had no memory for a while. He tells her that the day he remembered her and loved her was the best day of his life and he had to find her and tell her.
Stephanie has a hard time believing him but starts to soften a bit. Everett tells her that he wants her back and kisses her but she pushes him away and tells him that she lives with someone else. He asks if she is engaged or married and when she tells him no he says he is not giving up on them. After he leaves Chad comes home and asks Stephanie if she wants to talk. She tells him that she thinks they talked enough that day so Chad goes to bed and she looks at a picture of her and Everett on her phone.
