Sarah Reclaims Her Love for Xander

Over at the hospital, Sarah Horton brings little Victoria to visit Xander Kiriakis as he continues his recovery. Trying to be selfless, Xander tells Sarah she doesn’t need to stay glued to his bedside. He guesses she has far more fun things to do with her time. But Sarah isn’t having it—she insists she is exactly where she wants and needs to be.

After all, Xander nearly sacrificed his own life to take a bullet for her. Sarah opens up, confessing that his near-fatal shooting completely shifted her perspective. She admits she tried to deny her feelings and push past them, but the truth is: she loves him.

When Xander reminds her that he loves her too, he gently asks, “But what about Brady?” Sarah reveals that she and Brady are officially over. She reassures Xander that he is the only man she truly loves. The two share a tender kiss, cementing their reunion.

Later, as Sarah sits with him in his hospital bed, she tells him the story of her breakup with Brady, she glances over only to realize a tuckered-out Xander has already drifted off to sleep!

Julie and Foster Clear the Air, While Chad Stands His Ground

Over at the bookstore, Julie Williams catches up with Foster. She greets him with a cheerful, “Happy Halloween, Foster!” After apologizing for canceling their last two dates, Julie sits him down for a heart-to-heart. She admits she got the impression he was looking for something more than just friendship.

Foster is a total gentleman about it. He assures her that while he thinks she’s a wonderful woman, he is more than happy just being friends. Julie admits she doesn’t have many male friends in her life, to which Foster quips that he hopes to set a stellar example for his gender.

Later, a deeply emotional Julie opens up to Maggie Horton about where her heart is. She confesses that she simply isn’t ready to move on from her late husband. Maggie comforts her. She reminds Julie that they are on this widow’s journey together—and thanks God they have each other to lean on.

Thomas Forgives Cat

Meanwhile, at the Town Square festivities, Thomas tells Chad DiMera that he isn’t mad at Cat anymore and wouldn’t mind if his dad became friends with her. When Cat walks by, Thomas takes the initiative to apologize for his past behavior. He tells her that she doesn’t have to run away every time she spots his dad. Cat is touched by his maturity, but Chad later gently explains to Thomas why a friendship with Cat just isn’t in the cards.

Still in the square, EJ DiMera faces off with Chad in a furious showdown. Chad is livid after hearing rumors that his brother might have been the one who tased Steve Johnson. At the same time, EJ warns Chad not to print a single word about it in The Spectator alongside Leo—or else. EJ even boasts about officially disowning his own son. Unbothered, Chad shoots back that it’s no surprise because “that’s what DiMeras do.” He even adds that he is perfectly content leaving the toxic DiMera legacy behind.

EJ’s Terrifying Nightmare & Kristen’s Eerie Return

Meanwhile, a disguised Kristen DiMera texts Sophia to confirm she has the cash ready for their deal. Moments later, Kristen and EJ accidentally lock eyes across the crowd.

Back at the DiMera mansion, EJ catches Kristen red-handed attempting to set their father Stefano’s iconic portrait on fire! “What in the devil are you doing?” EJ demands. Kristen claims she was just giving Stefano a final goodbye. She pleads with EJ to let her do this. Instead, EJ turns the tables on her.

When Kristen wakes up, she finds herself tied to a chair in a terrifying setup at the firepit, surrounded by candles. As Kristen frantically begs for mercy and promises she regrets her actions, Cat rushes in! Cat begs EJ to stop. She asks if his rage is really about Kristen or the fact that he just disowned his own son. Reminding EJ that he is a better man than this, Cat manages to break through to him.

Turning to Kristen, EJ snaps, “As much as I hate what you did, you are my sister.” He frees her with a lethal warning: if she ever touches his son again, he will kill her. “You will never see me again, I swear,” Kristen promises before fleeing the premises.

Cat praises EJ for making the right call, but as she says, “EJ… wake up,” the reality snaps!

It was all a twisted dream! EJ wakes up to Cat. He suggests they go make some popcorn to shake off the nightmare. But as they head off… someone in a disguise stands outside in the dark, peering straight through the window—It’s Kristen in her Halloween costume.
