Days of Our Lives Episode Recap, Cast List, and Spoilers for Monday, October 9, 2023: Alex Surprises Stephanie
Spoilers for Days of Our Lives on Monday, October 9, 2023: Theresa and Brady return to Salem with their son. Stephanie shows up at Titan and is surprised to find Alex there. Kate and Chad catch up. Justin is appalled to learn about Alex and Titan. Kayla learns from Bonnie that Alex is Victor’s son.
Days of Our Lives Episode Recap Monday, October 9, 2023: Alex Surprises Stephanie
Marlena calls John and tells him about her conversation with Kate about Chloe and Philip and asks if he’s heard anything from Brady or Tate.
Days Recap Today
Brady and Theresa argue about her luggage at the airport while they wait for Tate to get off the plane. Brady berates Tate for hitting on the flight attendant and pulling the fire alarm at school which caused his expulsion. Tate throws Brady’s childhood pranks back at him and Brady tells Tate that he is going to have to get a job and pay for the damage he caused at school. Brady tells Tate and Theresa that he has just the job in mind for his son.

Bonnie and Kayla talk about a warrant being out for Vivian’s arrest and Bonnie tells her what happened with Victor’s will. Kayla is shocked to find out that Alex is Victor’s son. She feels badly for Justin and Bonnie agrees, wishing Victor had taken his secret to his grave. Kayla asks how Alex is handling it and Bonnie tells her that he’s worried being Victor’s son will go to his head.
Brady brings Tate and Theresa to the Pub and Kayla greets them happily. Kayla introduces Theresa and Tate to Bonnie and they welcome Tate home. Brady asks if Roman is around because he wants to talk to him about Tate getting a job at the Pub. Brady asks Bonnie about the suitcase and asks what was in it. Bonnie tells him about the new will and the letter naming Alex as Victor’s son.
Bonnie leaves and Theresa remembers seeing the letters in the suitcase and makes an excuse before leaving quickly. Tate is surprised to hear that Theresa is planning to stay in Salem. Tate and Brady get food and talk about the job he will be doing. Brady tells him that even though he wouldn’t have chosen this way to get to come live with him, he’s happy that he’s there. Tate tells Brady that he wants to take a walk around Salem since he hasn’t been there in a while and leaves quickly over Brady’s objections.

Stephanie goes to Titan to tell Vivian that she is quitting and is surprised to find that Alex is the new CEO. Alex updates her about Victor’s will and tells her that Victor was actually his father. Stephanie asks if the will said that Victor wanted him to be the CEO and Alex admits that it’s something that he and Maggie disagree about. Alex tells her that he’s struggling with the fact that Victor lied to him his whole life.
Alex admits that he wanted the money, the job, and the power but tells Stephanie that he never wanted it like this. Stephanie asks him if he is moving back to the mansion but he thinks it would be awkward for all of them. Stephanie tries to convince him that he still has the same ties to Justin and Sonny but he’s unconvinced. He tells her that if she wants to quit he understands but she tells him she’s not going to.
After Stephanie leaves, Alex gets a call from the press and tells them that it is true that he is the new CEO and Victor’s son. Theresa shows up and thanks Alex for being so nice to her in Greece. She tells him that she heard about the will and flirtatiously asks how he’s doing. She tells him that she’s free for dinner and asks if he wants to go out.

Justin goes to the Kiriakis mansion to ask Maggie if he and Bonnie can move back in. She tells him that of course they can and lets him know about Alex firing her as CEO of Titan. Justin offers to talk to Alex but Maggie doesn’t want him to because she doesn’t think it will do any good. Justin vents his frustrations at Alex and his anger at Victor and Maggie understands but tries to rationalize why Victor kept it a secret.
Justin and Maggie realize that many of their questions will never be answered now that Victor is dead. Justin asks if Alex is moving back in and Maggie tells him that he hasn’t mentioned it. Justin admits he isn’t sure he wants to move back but Maggie tells him that it’s still his family home and that Aex will always be his son. Maggie tells him about Mickey and his son Mike and tells him that in the end, they were father and son no matter what. She tells him that the same thing will happen with him and Alex.
Justin thanks her for the perspective and she tells him that it’s important that the family rally together. Bonnie shows up and tells Justin that she was hoping Alex would move back in too. He tells her about Alex ousting Maggie as Titan’s CEO.
