Marlena Puts the Squeeze on Xander

First up, it looks like Marlena (Deidre Hall) isn’t in the mood for games. She’s officially putting Xander (Paul Telfer) in the hot seat, as she presses him for answers he probably doesn’t want to give. 

We all know Marlena has a way of peeling back the layers of even the most hardened Salem bad boy, and Xander is definitely one of them. What he and Kate (Lauren Koslow) did to her grandson Johnny (Carson Boatman) is not something the good doc is thrilled about. In fact, his latest scheme is stirring things up a bit.

Johnny Takes the Reins on Chanel’s Health

Meanwhile, over in the “husband of the year” category, Johnny is moving into high gear. After the terrifying discovery of a lump in Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) breast, Johnny isn’t just going to sit around and wait for fate to decide their future.

He’s taking decisive action to make sure Chanel gets the care she needs immediately. After all, they’ve got a baby on board, and their baby and his wife’s health could be at risk. So, when Johnny takes matters into his own hands, is he the one who turns to Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) about a mammogram?

Kate’s “Flexible” Relationship with the Truth

You can’t have a day in Salem without someone playing fast and loose with the facts, and today, that honor belongs to Kate. She’s slipping back into her old habits and telling Roman (Josh Taylor) a lie. 

Now, Kate usually thinks she’s lying for the “right” reasons, but keeping secrets from Roman is a recipe for a pub-sized disaster. She doesn’t want him to know what she did to Johnny. And if her past teaches us anything, she is going to try to keep that secret under wraps. But her past also teaches us that things like this always come back to bite her.

Reunions and Rivalries

Rounding out the day, we’ve got a nice little reunion. Days spoilers for April 22 also reveal that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) and Lani (Sal Stowers) are finally taking a break to reconnect, and knowing their history, this catch-up could go in a dozen different directions.

While they’re playing nice, Tate (Leo Howard) and Sophia (Rachel Boyd) are doing the exact opposite. These two are set to clash in a major way. After all, don’t they always? Wednesday is looking like a total must-watch!
