Next on Days of our Lives: Chad Shocks Julie
Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes) may want Chad (Billy Flynn) to find love again, but definitely not with Cat Greene (AnnaLynne McCord). Can you blame her? After all, Cat rolled into Salem pretending to be Chad’s dead wife. That’s the kind of thing that’s hard to forget… and even harder to forgive. Chad may have moved past it — Julie, not so much. Or better yet, not in the least.
Now, Chad and Cat just spent an entire night stuck in an elevator. And no, they weren’t just standing (or sitting) in silence. They played Never Have I Ever, leaned on each other (literally and emotionally), and started to connect. The kind of bonding that could become something more. And if it does, Julie is not going to be thrilled.

Meanwhile, Cat starts her defense training with Rafe (Galen Gering) as her new role in town becomes more official.
Sarah Shares Upsetting News
Elsewhere in Salem, Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) drops some upsetting news on Marlena (Deidre Hall). Is Marlena okay? We know she’s been dealing with deep grief, and healing from that takes time. But could there be something more going on with her health?
Gabi Bonds with Xander
Days spoilers for August 5 also reveal that Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) grows closer to Xander (Paul Telfer). These two have been warming up to each other lately — from Gabi helping with baby Victoria to Xander being there for her when her daughter was kidnapped. But now Gabi might have another reason for getting close. Is it all part of her bigger plan with Tony (Thaao Penghlis)?
Susan and Johnny
And finally, Susan (Stacy Haiduk) gets under Johnny’s (Carson Boatman) skin again. She’s still talking about Stefano’s presence and her new medium powers. Yikes. What exactly is she sensing now? Whatever it is, it’s driving Johnny up the wall.
