Dominic Arrives in Salem and Makes a Shocking Claim About EJ
Days of Our Lives just dropped its fall preview, and it is going to get wild. The promo opens as Dominic finally unveils himself. “EJ DiMera, we meet at last,” he says. “Hello, brother.”
He shows up right at the memorial service for Lexie, leaving Marlena stunned to come face-to-face with the man said to be her son with Stefano.
News of Dominic travels fast. Xander, who is still in the hospital, asks Philip what Dominic is really doing in Salem and what he wants from their family.
Trouble is clearly brewing within the Kiriakis clan, but so is it for the DiMera clan. “One of Father’s favorite pastimes was pitting his children against one another,” Tony tells his newfound brother.
That’s certainly something to remember!
Meanwhile, Chad DiMera shares his concerns with Belle Black. He believes it won’t be long before somebody draws blood. As for Chanel, she tells Johnny she wants out—not just out of DiMera, but out of Salem for good.
The drama continues to heat up across town. Rita claims to EJ that she always loved him like her own flesh and blood. Joy clashes with Stephanie and insists that everything she does is for her daughter.
Sydney gives EJ a sharp reminder. “I am the one in the CEO chair,” she tells him, adding that the choice is up to her. Then there is Kate, who tells Ari that they were very worried about her. “Stay out of my life,” Ari fires back.
Plus, Rafe warns Cat that she was not trained as an undercover agent. In other parts of town, Stephanie swears Kayla to secrecy, but can she really keep it from Steve?
Love is in the Air for Some, But Trouble for Others
Amidst all the drama, love is still in the air. Eli and Lani continue to stand by each other, Abe asks Paulina to move back in, Mason falls for Sydney, and Brady reunites with Chloe.
This time, Chloe Lane is now being played by General Hospital alum Sofia Mattsson (ex-Sasha Gilmore). However, trouble may be brewing for other couples like Chad and Belle, Philip and Gabi, and Stephanie and Alex. Meanwhile, poor little Rachel worries that everyone she loves keeps leaving her.
As for other happenings, Abe has big news, and he is not the only one. Leo warns Sarah and Xander that the Chicago PD is on their way to Salem to arrest Xander for first-degree murder.
EJ questions if Cat has been playing him all along, Marlena leans on Roman, and Leo might be about to bite the dust. “Leo!” Javi begs as he tells him to breathe.
With trouble brewing, Xander and Sarah apparently go on the run as Maggie begs him to take care of her girls.
Finally, Theo questions Dominic. “What did my grandfather send you here to do?” he asks. Dominic notes that he is asking the wrong question—the correct one is what he intends to do.
The returns do not stop there, either. “I’ve been expecting you,” Orpheus says when Marlena and Steve show up with questions. “The truth is beyond your wildest dreams.”
