Days of our Lives spoilers for July 9 tease that Gwen’s return to Salem is quickly spicing things up a bit.
Next on Days of our Lives: Gwen and Xander Reconnect
Lady Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) —or shall we say, Mrs. Von Leuschner—is officially back in Salem, and she’s already stirring the pot. Using her Von Leuschner fortune, Gwen managed to get her hands on Julie’s (Susan Seaforth Hayes) family necklace and she has zero intention of giving it back.
Her return also led to a reunion with her former bestie, Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart)—aka “Matty,” as she used to affectionately call him. And no surprise here: Gwen wasn’t exactly holding back. But things are about to get even more interesting, as she reconnects with someone else from her past—none other than Xander (Paul Telfer).
At the moment, Xander and Sarah (Linsey Godfrey) are not together, which opens the door wide for Gwen to step back into his life. Whenever Gwen and Xander are in the same room, sparks tend to fly… both literally and figuratively.
Doug Tries to Push Ari Away
Meanwhile, Doug (Peyton Meyer) is on high alert. A threat is looming, and he knows it. Someone dangerous is after him, which puts anyone close to him in harm’s way. That includes Ari (Marissa Reyes). For her safety, Doug will try to push her away. But will it be that simple? Not likely.
Bonnie’s Advice
Also making her return to the canvas is Bonnie (Judi Evans). She’s got some tough love to dish out to Sarah. Whether it’s a warning about Xander’s messy past or a heartfelt piece of advice, Bonnie’s not one to mince words. It’s Salem—anything can happen.
Leo’s Past
And speaking of messy pasts, Leo is ready to spill a little tea of his own. He opens up to Javi (Al Calderon) about his backstory, and with Gwen back in town, there’s a good chance he might finally share the juicy details of his time with Dimitri (Peter Porte). That’s one story Javi might not be ready for—hope he has time!
Belle Is Worried
Days spoilers for July 9 also say Belle (Martha Madison) is deeply worried about Marlena (Deidre Hall). Losing the love of her life has left Marlena reeling, and grief isn’t an easy road to travel. But is it just emotional fallout, or could something else—something health-related—be going on beneath the surface?
