While signs indicated that he was on his way to recovery, devastating news will confirm that John has passed away. However, Marlena never leaves his side. She stands with him until the very end.
The loss is made even more poignant by the real-life passing of Drake Hogestyn, whose portrayal of John touched generations of fans. We knew this moment was coming, but we aren’t ready. Prepare yourself—this week in Salem will be one of the most emotional yet.
Bo’s Family Rally Around

However, before he awakens from his comar, Bo shares a powerful reunion with his son, Zack—who passed away many years ago. In a moving scene, Zack, now portrayed in a heavenly adult form by Brandon Butler, appears to his father.
