The Fatal Flaw in Lexie Carver’s Resurrection
Being brought back from the dead is practically a rite of passage in Salem, but Lexie Carver’s (Nikki Crawford) recent return comes with a terrifying catch.
The experimental drug Dr. Rolf (Richard Wharton) used to resurrect her was previously tested on lab rats with seemingly perfect results. Unfortunately, one of the primary test rats treated with the exact same batch of the serum has suddenly dropped dead in the lab.
Now Rolf is tasked with delivering this disturbing news to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel). Naturally, EJ is going to start worrying about his sister. The deterioration of the test subject makes it impossible not to wonder if the exact same horrific fate is about to catch up with Lexie.
While a medical time bomb ticks in the background, Lexie is living in absolute bliss. Believing she has a perfectly clean bill of health, she is thrilled to be back home where she belongs.
Abe (James Reynolds) is doing everything in his power to make her feel comfortable and secure after being “dead” for the last fourteen years. Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) is doing the same. The reunited trio spends some beautiful, quality time together as a family.
Gwen Plays a High-Stakes Game with Leo
Meanwhile, Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien) has an explosive scoop. It is exactly the kind of juicy, scandalous story she knows Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) would absolutely kill to sink his teeth into.
To that end, Gwen wastes no time dangling this “story of a lifetime” directly in front of Leo, but it comes with a major catch.
As we all know, Gwen rarely does anything out of the goodness of her heart. If she is handing Leo a career-making headline, she is definitely looking for something in return. What could that be?
EMT Bonds and Heartbreak for Sarah
Elsewhere in Salem, fresh professional transitions are bringing unexpected connections. Now that JJ (Casey Moss) is embracing his life as an EMT, he finds a natural confidant in Javi (Al Calderon). Given Javi’s extensive background and experience working out in the field, the two men bond.
Rounding out the emotional Wednesday episode, Days spoilers for June 3 confirm that Sarah Horton’s (Linsey Godfrey) world is about to completely fracture. When a sudden crisis leaves a vulnerable Sarah utterly devastated, a supportive Xander (Paul Telfer) is by her side.
