EJ Approaches Theo
DiMera Enterprises is facing a bit of a leadership problem at the moment.
Right now, Johnny (Carson Boatman) has more important things on his mind than running a major company. Between Chanel’s (Raven Bowens) breast cancer diagnosis, their growing family, and the responsibilities waiting for them at home, the man has enough on his plate.
So when Johnny opens up to EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) about everything that’s going on, his father quickly realizes changes need to be made.
Rather than push Johnny to keep juggling it all, EJ starts looking for someone who can help fill the gap.
After hearing Johnny’s concerns, EJ approaches Theo (Tyler Joseph Andrews) with an interesting proposition.
He wants Theo to step in as Johnny’s second-in-command at DiMera Enterprises.
It’s a significant offer, and we all know Theo just walked away from the company because he wanted no part of it. So, will he really go back there?
Whether he does or not, EJ clearly believes Theo could be the right person for the job.
Cat Tells Rafe Not to Worry
Elsewhere, Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) remains confident that she has everything under control.
As you know, she’s been working undercover while serving as EJ’s assistant, which isn’t exactly the easiest assignment in Salem.
Rafe understands just how risky the situation is. If EJ ever discovers the truth, everything could fall apart in an instant. That’s why he’s concerned about Cat getting too close for comfort.
Cat, however, isn’t nearly as worried.
She assures Rafe (Galen Gering) that she can handle EJ and stay focused on the mission.
Johnny Urges Chanel to Reconsider
Meanwhile, Johnny has an important conversation with Chanel.
After a difficult experience with her oncologist, Chanel made the decision not to move forward with chemotherapy. She felt uncomfortable with the doctor’s approach and wasn’t willing to continue treatment under those circumstances.
Understandably, Johnny is deeply concerned.
He knows how serious Chanel’s diagnosis is and doesn’t want her walking away from treatment altogether. While he respects her feelings, he also wants her to consider other options before making a final decision.
Thursday’s episode will see Johnny encouraging Chanel to rethink her choice and consider what comes next.
Abe Leans on Marlena
Elsewhere in Salem, Days spoilers for June 5 tease that Abe (James Reynolds) turns to Marlena (Deidre Hall) for support.
His world has been turned upside down ever since Lexie (Nikki Crawford) returned from the dead, and he’s still trying to process everything that’s happened.
Marlena has helped many Salem residents through difficult times over the years, and now it’s Abe who needs a listening ear.
