It has been a while since Jack Deveraux (Matthew Ashford) was back in Salem, but that is finally about to change.

In Friday’s episode, Jack makes his return and wastes no time showing up at Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) suite at the Salem Inn. Naturally, Gwen is suspicious and wants to know exactly why he is there and what he wants.

Given their complicated history, this reunion is bound to come with some tension.

Gabi Confesses

Meanwhile, things recently got especially heated over in the Town Square.

Days spoilers for May 22 tease that Gabi (Cherie Jimenez) finally confesses. Well, we just watched her tell Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) the truth about giving the DiMeras information regarding the forged letter and his attempt to secure part of the Kiriakis inheritance.

Once Philip heard the truth, he completely lost it.

In fact, he told Gabi to pack her things and move out of the mansion immediately.

Now, who will Gabi confess to after this?

Xander Surprises Sarah

Elsewhere in Salem, Xander (Paul Telfer) has a surprise in store for Sarah (Linsey Godfrey).

At the same time, Stephanie (Abigail Klein) checks in on Alex (Robert Scott Wilson).

And finally, longtime fans are in for an emotional treat as Kayla (Mary Beth Evans) and Steve (Stephen Nichols) take a trip down memory lane.

The show is celebrating 40 years since Mary Beth Evans first debuted in the role of Kayla, which means viewers are about to get a flashback-filled episode featuring some unforgettable moments from Steve and Kayla’s iconic love story.

For longtime Days fans, this episode is likely going to hit all the emotions.
