Days of our Lives spoilers for May 29 tease that Xander and EJ wait for the board vote results. Don’t miss it!
Next on Days of our Lives: Arrested Development
Thanks to Xander’s (Paul Telfer) recent crime of beating his brother Philip (John-Paul Lavoisier) within an inch of his life Xander finds himself in handcuffs in the Thursday episode of Days of our Lives.
Xander and Philip have never exactly been poster children for brotherly love—but things really hit the fan when that forged letter surfaced. Philip managed to slide his way into the family fortune and company, thanks to said letter, and for a fleeting moment, the brothers played nice. That is, until the truth exploded.
Philip also knew about Xander’s secret plan to buy the hospital, so what does he do? Naturally, he joins forces with Kevin Lambert (Chadwick Hopson) to break into Dr. Russell’s (Michael Dietz) lab and steal a dose of a life-saving drug for Bo (Peter Reckell).
Philip was just trying to redeem himself in one brother’s eyes and save another’s life. Unfortunately, it’s all gone sideways. Now he’s the one in the hospital, fighting for his life—and Xander? He’s about to have a really bad day.
Enter Jada (Elia Cantu), slapping handcuffs on Xander and announcing he’s under arrest for the assault on his brother. Talk about bad timing.
Who Gets the Hospital?
Xander was literally at the hospital waiting for the results of the board vote that could crown him—or EJ (Dan Feuerriegel)—as the new owner of the hospital. Spoiler alert: Getting arrested does not help your campaign.
Of course, EJ’s track record isn’t exactly squeaky clean either, so who will come out on top? Or will this battle leave both men as losers?
Belle Has Updates
Meanwhile, after Belle’s (Martha Madison) sit-down with Alex (Robert Scott Wilson), she walks away with some very interesting information. She heads straight to Jada with an update, and together with the police commissioner, a decision must be made. Could this be the chain of events that leads to Xander’s arrest?
Maggie Confides in Julie
Elsewhere, Maggie (Suzanne Rogers) opens up to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), heartbroken over Xander’s return to his old, bad boy ways. She truly loved him—for her daughter—but stealing Victor’s portrait from the Kiriakis mansion may have been the final straw. Maggie’s known for her forgiving streak, but is this the moment she draws the line?
Kristen Says No
Plus, little Rachel (Alice Halsey) drops a bombshell of her own on Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) in Thursday’s episode. She tells Kristen what she saw the night EJ was shot. She heard shouting, snuck downstairs, and saw Johnny (Carson Boatman) arguing with EJ… and Johnny had a gun. Did Rachel witness the unthinkable?
Kristen decides to take Rachel to the hospital—and they encounter Brady (Eric Martsolf), who has a request she’s going to flat-out refuse. Classic Kristen.
So buckle up, Salem fans. Thursday’s episode promises high stakes drama, and maybe even a portrait-related grudge. You won’t want to miss it!
So, do you think Xander should pay? Leave your thoughts below!
