Get ready for an emotionally charged episode of Days of Our Lives airing Friday, May 30, as the beloved John Black’s health crisis shakes Salem to its core. Word spreads that John has suffered third-degree burns, and the news has rallied some familiar faces back to town to support him and Marlena (Deidre Hall) in their darkest hour.
In an episode that’s equal parts heartbreaking and heartwarming, Will (Chandler Massey) returns to reunite with Grandma Marlena, and Eric (Greg Vaughan) also makes his way back to his mom’s side. They join Brady (Eric Martsolf), Belle (Martha Madison), and Paul (Christopher Sean), all taking turns by John’s bedside.
As fans know, John has cheated death more times than we can count—so no one’s giving up hope just yet.
Johnny Feels Isolated
Meanwhile, not all drama is hospital-bound.
Johnny DiMera (Carson Boatman) is feeling… off. Isolated, even. But why? He’s just reconciled with Chanel (Raven Bowens), and thanks to Paulina’s (Jackee Harry) generous (and very symbolic) $1 real estate deal, they now have a place to call their own. So why the long face, Johnny?
Could his mood be tied to Grandpa John’s condition? Or maybe he’s haunted by the fallout from his father EJ’s (Dan Feuerriegel) shooting?
Kristen Confronts EJ
Speaking of DiMera drama—Days spoilers for May 30 also tease that Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) confronts EJ, and let’s just say, sibling tension is served hot. After that eye-popping revelation from Rachel (Alice Halsey) about the night EJ was shot, Kristen wants answers. Stat. Why hasn’t EJ come forward with what he knows? Specifically, that Johnny was there that night, they argued, and yes—Johnny had a gun. That’s the kind of bombshell that doesn’t stay buried for long.
EJ’s tight-lipped approach might have something to do with wanting to mend fences with his son. But Kristen? She’s not one to back down when she smells a secret.
Will EJ finally spill the truth to his sister?
One thing’s for sure: Friday’s episode is a must-watch. Between hospital heartbreaks and DiMera sibling showdowns, Days of Our Lives is delivering the drama with a capital D.
