Days of Our Lives spoilers for September 11 tease another busy day in Salem, with Xander struggling over Sarah, Gwen needing to vent about EJ, Cat opening up to Rafe, and Belle and Chad getting back to their investigation in Italy. There is plenty going on, with personal drama, secrets, and schemes keeping Salem’s residents busy.

Here’s what to expect on Friday’s episode.

Key Takeaways

  • Xander opens up to Maggie about his struggles.
  • Gwen vents to Leo about her problems with EJ.
  • Cat has a heart-to-heart with Rafe.
  • EJ has another assignment for Rita.
  • Belle and Chad return to the Italy mystery.

Xander Opens Up to Maggie

Xander (Paul Telfer) has been stuck in neutral for months, completely unable to pull himself out of Sarah’s (Linsey Godfrey) orbit. Watching her build a new life with Brady (Eric Martsolf) is a constant gut punch, and everyone in Salem knows he’d leap at the chance to drop everything and reconcile with her in a heartbeat. Throw in the mounting pressure and corporate chaos over at Titan—where nothing seems to be going right—and his stress levels are officially off the charts.

Needing a safe place to land, Xander turns to Maggie (Suzanne Rogers), one of the few people left in town whose opinion he truly respects. He opens up to her and admits he’s struggling.

Gwen Needs to Vent About EJ

Meanwhile, Gwen’s (Emily O’Brien) frustration with EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) has finally reached its boiling point.

She can’t stand the way he’s been operating lately—or how he’s been treating her—and she desperately needs to blow off some steam.

Naturally, she seeks out Leo (Greg Rikaart).

He remains her default sounding board and ultimate confidant. After all, they’re besties.

Leo is always ready to pour the tea and listen to her vent.

And that’s exactly what Gwen needs right now: an unsanctioned therapy session with her best friend so she can process all of her infuriating dealings with EJ.

Cat Opens Up to Rafe

Meanwhile, Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) decides it’s time to lay her cards on the table with Rafe (Galen Gering).

As her partner, he’s the logical person for her to lean on—especially since she already trusted him enough to come clean about what went down in Italy back in the day.

Their upcoming conversation serves as a much-needed catch-up session.

EJ Has Another Assignment for Rita

Elsewhere, EJ isn’t letting up on his schemes.

He prepares to hand down a new assignment to Rita (Maggie Carney), which means whatever EJ has been cooking up isn’t over yet.

Days spoilers for September 11 also tease that Belle (Martha Madison) and Chad (Conner Floyd) are keeping their momentum going.

Fresh off taking things up a notch by hitting the sheets together, they refuse to let their explosive new dynamic distract them from the mission at hand.

Instead, they’re diving straight back into the mystery and following their next big clue in Italy.

Do you think Xander can finally let go of Sarah—and what do you think Gwen is going to tell Leo about EJ?
