A new face is coming to Salem this September! Sydney Malakeh is about to make her mark in the soap opera world, as she is set to make her debut on Days of Our Lives next month in a yet-to-be-revealed role.

Who Is Sydney Malakeh?
Born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware, Malakeh is an actress, singer, and writer. Sydney is of Persian and Puerto Rican descent, which allows her to portray a range of different ethnicities. Sydney moved to California in 2019 to study business at San Diego State University. She attended college for a semester before deciding to move to Los Angeles, where she began working shortly after in 2020.
While she may be new to soaps, she is in no way new to the acting world! Regular TV viewers may recognize her face from a 2025 appearance as Carrie on Grey’s Anatomy, or Misty in On Call, or as Danica in Shrinking. Outside of that, she’s had roles in hit series such as Loot and The Sex Lives of College Girls. Meanwhile, she has played roles in TV movies such as Her Deadly Boyfriend, The Wrong Stepfather, and Cheer Camp Killer, as well as films like Stream and Muffled.
Who Could She Be Playing in Salem?
With her impressive resume, fans are already going crazy over who she could be bringing to life on screen. Could she be a completely new character coming into town to shake up the younger crowd, or is she playing a recaster/aged-up version of a legacy kid?
Given her first name, plenty of fans are already cheekily guessing if she could be playing EJ DiMera and Sami Brady’s daughter, Sydney DiMera! Whoever she turns out to be, her arrival is sure to bring plenty of drama to Salem.
