Congratulations are in order for Days of our Lives as they’ve won the WGA Award for Daytime Drama Series. The win came at the 76th annual WGA Awards which was held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 in Los Angles and New York City.

The Writers Guild of America is known for handing out awards in the fields of news media, motion picture, television, and radio/audio.

In the Daytime Drama category, Peacock’s Days of our Lives was the winner, taking home its fourth WGA Award in this category in a row.

Sunday night, April 14th in concurrent ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York City, the Writers Guild of America is handing out their 76th annual WGA Awards in the fields of motion picture, television, news media, and radio/audio.

This year, Days of our Lives walked away with the award, making it the show’s fourth consecutive win.

Days of our Lives submitted  episodes which were mostly centered around the death, and the funeral of Victor Kiriakis played by the late John Aniston who died in 2022.

Soap Opera News sends out congratulations to the writing team consisted of the Peacock soap opera which includes Ron Carlivati (Head Writer), Ryan Quan, Jazmen Darnell Brown, Jamey Giddens, Sonja Alar, Richard Culliton, Joanna Cohen, Carolyn Culliton, Cheryl Davis, Kirk Doering, Christopher Dunn, David Kreizman, Henry Newman, Dave Ryan, and Katherine D. Schock.

Days of our Lives competed against General Hospital in this category.
