On today’s Days of Our Lives for April 17, 2023: Steve & Kayla try to get through to Bo, Stephanie & Chad arrive in Greece to look for Kayla, Megan & Kristen do a bit of sisterly bonding in prison, and Hope receives intriguing information about the man who took Steve.
Marlena returns to her office and is touched by all the flowers and cards she finds waiting for her. As she’s getting settled in Alex comes in and asks to talk to her. He is hoping to get information on the search for Kayla and tells Marlena about what happened the night they thought she died. Marlena deduces that he’s hoping for a reconciliation and he admits that he is, telling her that Stephanie is the only woman he ever loved. After their talk, she gives him her card in case he ever wants to book a session with her.
Brady is reading at home when he gets a call from Kristen which he declines. When John gets home he and Brady discuss Marlena returning to work and what’s going on with Rachel and Chloe. John tells him that he’s going to have to accept that Rachel and Kristen are deeply bonded and find a way to make it all work. John leaves to bring Marlena her flowers and while he’s there Alex calls her and asks to book an appointment.
Kristen is furious after Brady declines to accept her call but her attention is quickly diverted by the arrival of her sister, Megan. The guard leaves them alone to talk and they cautiously start getting to know one another. Kristen quizzes her about Thomas Banks taking Kayla and realizes that her sister lied. Megan doesn’t confirm it but says things that help Kristen figure out that Bo is alive and he’s the one who took Kayla. Megan plays coy and after she leaves Kristen calls Brady again. When he accepts the call she tells him that she has important information to share with him.
Stephanie and Chad arrive in Greece and check into the hotel, unaware that someone’s watching them. Chad gets everyone else’s room numbers so he and Stephanie can let them know they’re there.
Hope and Harris discuss Steve being out of contact. Hope texts him again and he replies that Stephanie and Chad are there and he’s with them. Hope’s surprised when Chad and Stephanie knock on the door. Harris apologizes to Stephanie for the things he did while under Megan’s control and she accepts his apology and thanks him for his help in finding her mother. Hope tells them about the text from Steve and they figure out that someone must have him captive. Chad shows them the list of Victor’s properties that they got from Maggie. They agree to split up with Chad and Stephanie checking out half the list, Harris the other half, and Hope going to the police station.
Bo has Steve’s phone and texts Hope back pretending to be Steve and telling her that he’s with Stephanie and Chad. Meanwhile, Steve and Kayla are trying to find a way out of the wine cellar. Bo brings them food and wins and they argue with him to let them out. He and Steve wrestle over his gun but Bo gets the upper hand. Steve tries to goad him into shooting him to prove he won’t. Bo fires the gun but it’s at a wine bottle and then warns Steve that the next one will be in him. Steve doesn’t believe him but Bo doesn’t care. He tells Kayla she has to get to work and she tells him she needs a lab. Bo is frustrated with them both but promises to get what she needs before leaving them in the wine cellar.
Chad and Stephanie are checking out a creepy warehouse when they are surprised by something they see. Hope questions the officer at the police station and realizes that someone posing as Shane Donovan has Steve. Harris goes to check out Victor’s childhood home and comes face to face with Bo!
