On Days of Our Lives for April 28, 2023: Hope encounters a remorseful Harris, Ciara tries to comfort an upset Shawn, Roman reunites with Steve and Kayla as he admits his reservations about seeing Bo, and Stephanie and Chad manage to indulge in a bit of romance.
Andrew comes to Harris’s hotel room and Harris tells him that he knew Bo was alive and kept it quiet at first because he didn’t want to lose Hope. Andrew is disappointed in him but understands why he did it. He thanks him for turning Thomas Banks and the prisms over to the ISA.
Stephanie is worried about Bo and Hope. Chad tries to distract her by kissing her but she feels guilty being with him romantically while everyone else is worried about Bo. Chad tells her that she is always so supportive of everyone and it’s ok to let someone take care of her for once, and he wants that to be him. She thanks him and they make love.
Shawn is outside of the hospital and feeling guilty as he remembers shooting his father. Ciara runs into him there on her way to visit Bo. She tries to comfort her brother and assure him that it’s not his fault but nothing can assuage his guilt. Ciara wants him to come visit their parents with her but he’s not ready to see their father.
Steve and Kayla are talking in the waiting room of the hospital when Roman arrives. Kayla happily greets him and he asks about Bo. They update him and Kayla tells him she was going to go check on their brother and asks if he wants to come. He tells her that he’s not ready yet and Steve promises to stay with him while she goes.
After she’s gone Roman admits that he’s torn on his feelings about Bo after finding out he killed Kate. Steve reminds him that Bo was under Megan’s control and it wasn’t his fault but that doesn’t help Roman deal with it any better or forgive his brother for killing his wife.
In Bo’s room, Hope has a dream that he wakes up and is ok but is disappointed when she wakes up and realizes it was just a dream. Kayla comes in and checks his chart and comforts Hope, assuring her that he will recover. Ciara comes in and talks to her mother and aunt about Bo and Shawn. Hope’s worried about her son but feels a little better when he comes in to see them.
Shawn still feels overwhelming guilt and Hope tries to make him feel better but is unsuccessful. Shawn and Ciara encourage Hope to go get some rest and promises to stay with Bo while she does. Roman comes in and agrees with Shawn and Ciara. Hope reluctantly agrees to go change clothes and rest a little, making them swear they will not leave Bo alone while she’s gone.
When Hope gets to the hotel she runs into Harris in the lobby. She confronts him over not telling her Bo was alive and he apologizes. He tells her that he was afraid he was going to lose her and that he knows he screwed up. She admits that she did care for him but tells him that Bo is the love of her life.
Hope heads to her room and Harris is about to leave when Chad stops him. Stephanie blasts him again for staying quiet about Bo. Harris apologizes again and tells her how much he regrets what he did. When Chad and Stephanie get to the hospital they see Ciara outside and she updates them about Bo and Shawn.
When Hope gets back to Bo’s room she asks everyone to give her some time alone with him. She talks to him and begs him to wake up. Nurse Angela comes in and comforts her, telling her to hold out for her hero. Hope turns to talk to her but she has disappeared. Hope climbs onto the bed with Bo and hugs him, entwining their fingers as she promises to hold out for him. Bo doesn’t open his eyes but does squeeze her hand which gives her hope he’ll come back to her.
In the waiting room, Andrew shows Steve and Kayla the chip that was found in Bo’s brain and uses his ISA computer to decode it. Roman comes in as he is doing it and when the decoding finishes Andrew says that there is a video file that must have captured Bo’s point of view. Roman asks him to go to the time when Kate was shot. Andrew does and they see that Bo didn’t actually shoot her and that he let her escape! Roman is thrilled but wonders where she could be. Kate is then seen chopping up a fish somewhere.
