In today’s recap of Days of Our Lives for April 3, 2023: Steve and Hope face off with Megan, Harris shares his worry with Andrew, Stephanie is stunned when she gets a call from Kayla, and Brady’s reunion with Marlena goes awry.
John and Marlena talk about all the people and things she missed while she was gone and he promises her an at-home spa day complete with a bubble bath. She feels guilty enjoying those things while Kayla is missing but John assures her that Steve will bring Kayla home soon.
Brady arrives a little while later and immediately goes on the offensive when he sees who he thinks is Hattie Adams but John quickly diffuses the situation and tells him that it’s Marlena. Brady is overcome with emotion as he welcomes her home. They fill him in on what happened and he promises to bring Rachel to see her as soon as possible.
Andrew tells Harris that if the doctors determine that he’s no longer under Megan’s control then he will be a free man but Harris feels he needs to pay for the things he’s done. He tells Andrew about the men he killed while looking for the prisms for Megan. Andrew agrees that they didn’t deserve to die but tells Harris that they were Megan’s victims just like he was.
Harris shares his concerns about never being able to compete with Bo’s memory when it comes to Hope. Andrew tells him that Hope will always love Bo but that she’s ready to move forward and if she wants that to be with Harris then he shouldn’t throw away his chance at love.
Hope and Steve press Megan for the name of the man who has Kayla. She toys with them for a bit before finally telling them…a lie. Megan tells Hope and Steve that her henchman, Thomas Banks, is the one who went rogue and kidnapped Kayla. She tells them she has no idea why he took her or where but that he is the one who has her.
Steve warns Megan of dire consequences if she’s lying to them and then he and Hope leave. Once they’re gone, Megan revels in having misled them and continuing to keep Hope in the dark about Bo being alive. After conferring with Steve in the hall about their next plan of action, Hope goes to check on Harris and is surprised to find out that he’s been cleared by the doctors and is free to go.
Stephanie is overjoyed to hear her mother’s voice but due to a bad connection, she can’t understand her when Kayla tells her that it’s Bo that has her captive. She is able to hear her say that she’s in Greece but that’s all the information she is able to get before the line goes dead.
Stephanie despairs to Chad about the possible reasons for the line going dead and worries that she may have put her in danger by trying to call her back. Chad tries to calm her down by telling her other reasons it could have been and helps her to get her focus back on helping her mother. She calls her father and tells him that Kayla called her and that she’s somewhere in Greece.
Bo catches Kayla trying to give Stephanie clues to her location and angrily grabs the phone and disconnects the call. He thinks she was talking to Steve but she tells him that it was Stephanie and lies to him about what she said. She tries again to get through to him about the people he loved but he shakes her off and refuses to listen. Later they are at the table for dinner and he tells her to at up because she has a busy day tomorrow!
